Mine is still kicking. And is still my go to printer.

Re: Dino Jam!

Lewis1914, drop your extruder temp to 185c, speed 20mm/sec, retracts to 1mm at 20mm/sec.
I think that should fix you up, provided that white pla isnt that "cat hair" filament i had awhile back.

Re: Dino Jam!

I have plenty of hours on the v5 and v6 with pla and I am not knocking its quality. But truth be told there can be a pretty fine window with the temp and print speed when you start running into alot of retractions. From what i have experienced, its not the nozzle plugging, but the pla softening in ...

Yes a j head, from hot ends.com.

Re: Dino Jam!

If you want a real quality hotend for PLA the J-head (from hotends.com) is regarded as the best by most. You could also try a flying extruder with a better extruder design than the stock EZstruder, it shortens the tube length and reduces the friction the filament encounters in the bowden tube ...

A 200 mm lego?? I think you may need a fair sized injection molding machine for that, desktop most likely out of the picture. What is the actual volume of the part and its dimensions?

Re: Dino Jam!

And it was on a 50 hour print and would do it half ...

Re: A $15.00 all metal hot end??

So far so good :) It is printing well and has not plugged up. Although it is not a true all metal hot end it is working out well for printing PLA and would be a great upgrade from the good old J head.
Gene you should try one out, I think you will like it...

A $15.00 all metal hot end??

Well close anyway... While window shopping for a new printer I found that Folgertech offered an all metal hot end for 15 bucks, so I ordered one and it arrived just moments ago. Unfortunatly it is not all metal, there is a ptfe tube running down inside the ss heat break right up to the brass nozzle ...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

Give me a bit to get my ducks in a row and I'll post my files for Blue MAX. It's a v1 with the new carriages and arms. Plug your PEEK fan into the FAN 1 (leave FAN 0 for the layer fan) connector and put "M106 P1 T60" in your config.g file - when the hot end hits 60C, it'll turn the fan on just as ...

We need someone with a stock Rostock to configure and then post their files for the "masses".

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

This sounds like a must do upgrade for me, but when it comes to electronic components and programming I fall way short. Can i just replace the rambo with the duet and keep the stock lcd and micro switchs? Other thing i dont understand is you flash the duet with the dc42 repitier, but then your other ...

How about getting the filament and printer suppliers to boycott him and not sell him materials, parts, printers. May be difficult to starve him to death, but im sure he can be weakened enough to take the fight out of him.

Re: found a great ebay deal on SLA printer

I would love to have one, but seen too many stories posted on the forums and have concerns with buying something that I will wind up getting aggravated with and hurling out a window. Maybe in the near future they will be improved on and made easier ...

It will be interesting to see what comes of all this. My biggest fear if that people will not continue to share their works with us freely any more.
