Re: Calibration issues

OK, so...

Still waiting on my EZStruder. Haven't even touched the Steve's as there is no point now. Anyone want it, PM me.

Good news is that UltiMachine finally got back to me and they are picking up the old board, so I am not out anything there anymore.

Can't....

Wait....

To print....

Re: Calibration issues

Got the new Rambo in and everything works now, I will be trying to send back the old board for a replacement. Tried to extrude some filament with the hotend heated up and it got jammed in the nozzle. Took it apart and it seems the new tip needs a lot of the tubing taken off. Did that and everything ...

You da man! Or Eagle? PM replying. I bought the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvXKt3xDt4E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; upgrades. I will be trying the "new" hotend soon. I also got a new Rambo V1.2 to see if that is the issue.... I checked it on the machine from...

Re: Calibration issues

Done! I am DONE... I have reached my DIY limit. I would like to offer some $$ for anyone who is in the Los Angles , CA or Orange County area who wouldn't mind letting me bring over my printer for them to work on/get up and running. I will pay for parts and labor ($$ to be discussed). Please PM me if...

Re: Calibration issues

I checked it on the machine from where it would connect to the board as well if that's what you are asking. Still same resistance.... Thanks for all the help Eaglezsoar. I'm thinking I may have crapped out the board. What else would explain this crazyness? Also I checked the fuse too. It's possible ...

Re: Calibration issues

OK, so..... When I run the thermistor it does not work (only ever shows a reading of 0.00*C on setting 97 in the firmware, it only seems to work on 1 (gets 24*C, although I have not tried other numbers). I tried other thermistors ( I have one for the bed and I have a threaded one I wanted to replace...

Re: Calibration issues

Thanks for all the help and quick replies, I will finish this damn thing if it takes forever....!

I will trace the issue and see if it resides in line. If it does not I will look at my firmware.

Re: Calibration issues

I am using this multimeter. The setting I am on is "200k". Gardner-Bender-GDT-3190-2.jpg I was incorrect in saying I got 109 at 200k, it was set to 2000k for that reading. When heated the thermistor resistance goes down steadily. I have the one that was for the print bed (I have not used i...

Re: Calibration issues

Well, everything is going great. Printer is fake printing all sorts of stuff. However I did not have the right filament as of late. I now have some 1.75 ABS and got ready to heat up the hotend and... nothing. I had run the PID calibration before and the temp went up and stabilized and everything was...

Re: [NEW! 18Dec13] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual

Understood, sorry to offend. I will abandon the project. There is no "they". There is only "me". This is not a format I'm at all interested in pursuing. From what I've been told, there will be no further major changes to the included part set. If there is, it will likely spawn a ...

Re: [NEW! 18Dec13] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual

I am attempting to technofy this long and a little complicated or wrong (as it applies to updated items) manual. I have started an HTML file that shows what I think will be a far superior method. At each junction it will have an option and a picture asking, "Click on the kind of (blank) you hav...

Re: Calibration issues

Everything is going fine, I just need to adjust the z height then I will be able to be printing here probably in the next couple days if I have time. EDIT: Correction, I will be able to start fiddling with the extruder and all the other little settings that will allow me to print something useful. H...

Re: Calibration issues

I am really having a hard time justifying spending any more money on this "kit" since it was sold to me as a functioning printer. I upgraded the arms because I did not want to spend the time to "calibrate" the stock ones myself. I have not even printed anything yet. If the smalle...

Re: Calibration issues

Pppbsh, I wish. I had maybe about 10 min last night to tinker, the GF was wondering why it was taking me so long to "brush my teeth", lol. So the steps per MM seem to be better now. I figured out the EEPROM thing and was fiddling with that as well. I need to measure the run and make sure 5...

Re: Calibration issues

Where is that? Per the link, the Eprom will get you every time. Turn the eprom off when you update the steps per mm by setting it to 0 when you copy the new configuration over then set the eprom to 1 and upload again. Or you could try the M500 which sometimes does not work per what I have read. Edit...

Re: Calibration issues

Yep, it's the one on the left. It seems to me that the issue I am seeing is slightly because of the fact the Rambo thinks I am going further than I am and it cuts me off, 360mm only being 310 or whatever. That is why I think the "teeth" are screwed up or something, but I changed them? Is t...

Re: Calibration issues

Hokay, so.... Here is my newest issues... Everything got better with the firmware. Except now it wont go lower than this anymore (about 50mm). Before the Firmware fix I could tell Repetier Go z-(whatever) and it would oblige. It ignores me now. IMG_20131217_193002_422.jpg This on the Repetier says i...

Is Marlin a firmware? That would make sense then.
