Re: Titan Aero mounting bracket
Thanks Gene ^^ Quick update, dual fan version almost ready. Printing one right now to test it. * Reinforced body, I think it will be a bit stronger now. * Hole for cable management widened. * Fan mounts thickness reduced from 3 to 2mm. * One more Zip-tie tightener. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4216...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Jamming
Hi, PLA at 240ºc seems very hot for me too. Did you update the firmware with the new thermistor? The one from E3D is different than the HE280. Either way, you should check that temperature with a thermocouple and make sure that there is no resistance when pushing the filament by hand. When assemblin...

It prints! :D Looks good at 60mm/s print speed 200mm/s travel 25mm/s retract speed 0.5mm retraction distance Just in case someone is going to install one of this extruders, this parameters were changed: 1) If you get the Slimline stepper from E3D: #define MOTOR_CURRENT {175,175,175,125,0} Just chang...

Titan Aero mounting bracket
Hello guys! It's been a while since my last post here. I've recently bought a Titan Aero and made a mount for the Rostock Max. It doesn't matter if you have the V1, V2 or the V3, it's for the ball-cup effector platform. I tried hard to make it fit above the effector, but no matter what, something wo...

Re: Request: Netfabb Basic
Quick update... I've found version 6.4.0
if someone needs it: https://mega.nz/#!wRIS2CxC!vo1E6tyOa4zB ... tnqKVQcp50
It is freeware, or at least it was. I don't think I'm breaking any laws by sharing this. Mods, feel free to remove the link if necessary.

Request: Netfabb Basic
It seems that Autodesk removed Netfabb basic. Edit: yes.. checked: http://www.fabbaloo.com/blog/2016/10/9/and-where-did-netfabb-basic-go Can someone give me a link to download the latest Netfabb Basic? I'm googling it with no luck. I believe it was version 7.4.0, but any version would work fine. Tha...

Loose belts come to mind, or maybe it hit a blob and displaced the effector platform.

Re: Hotend for new printer which one?
I haven't tried neither the FSR, the accel or the IR sensor, I'm still using the manual calibration. But If I were in your pants, with a DuetWifi, I would give the differential IR height sensing board a try. https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/ If stuck with Rambo, the accel...

Re: Is PEI that good?
You'll need some sort of juice for Nylon, I think that white woodworking glue (PVA) diluted with water works well. Not sure about polycarbonate. It does work quite well for PLA, ABS and PETG, no surface prep necessary, except for the odd weekly wipe with acetone on a paper towel. I wouldn't use ace...

Re: Pillowing vs over extrusion
Agree, I do use cooling fans for ABS. Mostly at 20% fan speed, for bridges, overhangs and last layers like yours with a lot of detail.
For structural parts is not recommended as you can have some delamination.
Also, polish the tip of your nozzle a bit.

Also, if by professional peers you mean people related to 3d printing, you might consider doing it more technical or share some tips that you learned while building th...

If I must be honest, .4mm for everything. I've a .25 and a .35 practically new. The need much slower speeds and very few times found need to use them. HS nozzles... never tried them, I might buy a .4 one of these days. I think that over time, the tip of the brass one widens a bit. It happened with m...

Hello Eric, I don't know if it has been asked before, but have you tested the extruders for long periods of printing?
How is holding the PMMA? I know it doesn't require much temperature to bend. Or those planetary motors don't get hot at all?
Thanks, Martin
