Re: Waiting for V2 to arrive, What Mods to get before Build?
So, I think you are saying that it would be worth installing a damper on the extruder motor as well ? ... Astroboy offers a set of 3, doesn't suggest 4 - what am I missing ? Putting a damper on the extruder motor isn't really possible (or at least not helpful), as it is not mounted the same way. >^...

Re: Can't get extruder past 240C
I was printing Bridge with my stock hotend for a while with no issues either, when out of the blue the PEEK part melted and came loose. I've switched to an E3D(v6) since. It'll /probably/ work just fine with the stock hotend, but I'd switch to an all metal hotend if you are planning on printing a lo...

I also have two v6s showing up next week, and am also interested in dual printing with them. I'll be watching this thread closely!

Re: Do I need a new hot end for Nylon?
That said, I recently melted my hot end printing Bridge, and that's with a peek fan installed. I have an ESD(v6) on order to replace it just be on the safe side going forward. I consider Bridge to be right on the edge of what's safe to print with the stock hot end, so be cautious and don't push the ...

Re: Carbon fiber delta arms (lots of pics/vids)
Thanks! I ended up trying Loctite Super Glue, and it appears to have worked okay. I'm stuck in blizzard weather so it will still be a few days before I can install them in the shop though!

Re: Carbon fiber delta arms (lots of pics/vids)
So it looks like you tried both Gorilla Glue and Loctite Super Glue. Which would you recommend?

Re: [NEW! 12Feb14] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual
Cartesian coordinates have been labelled XYZ by convention for about forever (think of your geometry classes), but even this has issues (see "handedness" if you are interested). When radial machining became more common, "A" was used to denote this additional dimension (which is n...

Re: [NEW! 12Feb14] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual
I think the confusion is caused by attempting to use two different coordinate systems with the same labels! :) XYZ coordinates tends to mean the same thing in cartesian printers, whether you are talking about printer (stepper) coordinates or print coordinates. These are NOT the same thing in a delta...
