Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

I think I'm on the right path, but I might need to slow it down even more, the "popping" has diminished slightly, but is still present. Anyone have any ideas about it?

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

I think I managed to actually fix this problem. I re-wired the PEEK cooling fan, so now it runs off a dedicated 12v power supply. So far it hasn't had the plugging problem, and I have been stress testing the last few day's (printing back to back for most of the last 3 days) Now I am trying to solve ...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Well It doesn't look like that helped at all. Maybe the problem is to do with a faulty part in the hot end. Im not really sure how to go about fixing it. Its very frustrating. It will make one 'ok' print (by that I mean it will finish it, not that it looks any good) then it will clog af not print at...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Well I did some modifications, and now my PEEK cooling fan is running off an independent power supply (it wasn't getting the full 12v) so now it's able to run at max output the whole time. I'm going to try and see if that fixes the problem.

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Hmmm then maybe something is wrong with my fan then.. It seems to work normally, but since the pla keeps clogging up in the small tube inside the PEEK, Im guessing its not putting out enough air.

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

It does seem to be plugged, I cleared it, and was able to print, but the second print appears to have clogged again. Any idea as to why it keeps plugging up? could it have to do with the heat creeping into the Peek?

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Well I cant print it any way, after the 6th layer its just a mess of thin strands. I tried using a stand in shroud to get at least one print done, and its not having it. not really sure what to do about it. The other fan duct for the layer cooling seems to be working well though. it was one of the f...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

I cant seem to print the fan shroud, I guess its a catch 22. I am using some tinfoil to act in its place while I try to print it again. I only have PLA though, so it will have to hold over until I get some ABS.

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Ok so Here is a good example of what has been happening, The model will print great for a while but then towards the top, down to the last few minutes of printing it gets all wispy and crunchy. I have also added the G-code for the cube, and the tardis ( I am going to try rotating it 45deg now ) Im n...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

That might be it, though now I cant seem to finish any of the models that I have been printing, as it gets to the top of the models the plastic gets all stringy and brittle, or just stops extruding all together and leaves a mess. Its at the same point regardless of scaling though.. so Im not sure wh...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

So I have printed a couple more crystals at different scales, some bigger, and some smaller then the original. And so far they all are misaligned in the exact same places, so I don't think its the printer.. I am stumped, I ran the model through netfabb and nothing seemed wrong with it, and other peo...

As far as the Tardis box, I'm thinking that its a problem with Slic3r.

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

It seems to be between the back Z tower and the right Y? tower. The hot end is just the stock one that came with the kit.

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Well the wall finished, it has a line across the middle with very little plastic, and it actually broke in half long ways when I took it off the plate, easy to glue back together though. and it looks stringy.. The crystals worked pretty well for the first 30 or so layers, then one of the back ones i...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Here is the new print, it still has a slight miss alignment, but as far as I can tell the pulleys are still tight. I am trying out a wall now, its a wall of stones, it has some other issues with it, not so much alignment, as missing sections, almost like slic3r missed parts of the model, I have the ...

Re: Any Idea On How To Fix This?

I just finished tightening all the belts, They were all pretty lose. I am doing a test print now, more crystals, the skew seems to show up better with tall thin objects. I'll post a pic on the finished product. Thanks! :)

Any Idea On How To Fix This?

Hi, I recently built a Rostock Max V2, I feel that I have the actual printer calibrated pretty well ( always room for improvement) But for some reason every time I make a print I get these strange misses.. It's like it just gets off set and the returns back to the right center. I have added a few pi...

Re: LCD PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!

As it turns out you were correct, the LCD to Rambo adapter dose not have housed connectors and the plugs were upside down. I switched them and it booted right up. Thanks!! I never would have tough to check that.

Re: LCD PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!

Yupp, I followed all the steps, it started trying to home it self after I loaded the firmware. :/ also the LCD connector board is centered over all the pins, not offset ( I saw that was another suggestion). I might just have a bad board or something.. Im not sure whats up with it. Other then this, a...

Re: LCD PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I just finished building my Rostock V2, and I think I maybe having the same or similar problem. With the LCD leads connected like in the instructions, it kinda beeps once and the LCD screen is just blank. But when I reverse the leads the LCD screen starts flashing until I turn the dial, then its...
