Re: 1mm nozzle? Has anyone tried this with a MAX2
Hi. Thank you for your replies and comments. The good thing is, not my clients have to say how they want it, it is only me who can decide this. But even then, the parts that have to be printed need alot of material. In this case it was with a 0.5mm nozzle 260h. Now with a 1mm nozzle I can print this ...

> Which means 4 times more filament while printing. actually, no. You most likely wouldn't push filament with same speed. >When I do the math I could see that the area of a 1mm nozzle is 4 times the area of a 0.5mm nozzle. area - yes, but when printer prints a line, only diameter difference matters ...

1mm nozzle? Has anyone tried this with a MAX2
Hi 1mm nozzle? Has anyone tried this with a MAX2? When I do the math I could see that the area of a 1mm nozzle is 4 times the area of a 0.5mm nozzle. Which means 4 times more filament while printing. Is the stepper motor able to push that hard over hours without overheating ? The reason for my ...

Significant resistence on left arm
Hi. Today I had a standard cleaning and parts cheking time. There I realized that the left arm has a significant resistence on some areas when I moved the arm up and down. What can be the reason ? The belt is tight as the other 2 belts, there is no difference. What can it be ? - Ball bearings of the ...

Re: Mega Rostock fiction? Maybe possible! Lets start the gam
Hi Okay I really thought that some of you guys had some experiences with stronger stepper motors ? Any ideas to the higher NEMA steppers. Beside that, I guess the steppers NEMA17 from MaxV2 is using them with 200steps? Or is it less. Is there a way to increse the steps to increase the precision of ...

Re: Mega Rostock fiction? Maybe possible! Lets start the gam
Hi Xenocrates Thank you for your brillant ideas and objections. Milling is not a "have to have" function. We can discard this feature. - But high precision rod ends are a !must have ! - Higher torque also, so I think Nema 24 or 32 is the choice. But there is the question which kind of amps should be ...

Mega Rostock fiction? Maybe possible! Lets start the game!
Hi In the last few weeks I really tried hard to find a affordable printer with a bigger buildvolume than the Max2, esp. in diameter. Indeed there are some interesting models, but all of them are in a price range near or over the frontier of 10.000$. I think they are worth every penny, but for many ...

Re: Nozzle size 0.7mm which max. print height ?
Hi.
Thank you.
Allright thats a fine rule.
What about cooling the motor of the filament extruder?
I think the pressure and the speed must be much higher.
The motor is still with a 0.5mm nozzle more than warm.
Thank you.

Nozzle size 0.7mm which max. print height ?
Hi
What kind of experiences do you have with a 0.7mm nozzle in layer height?
My experiences with a 0.5mm nozzle are 0.3mm height max.
Is 0.5mm layer height to much
I also guess it is vital to cool actively the stepper motor for the filament transport, if I will use a bigger nozzle.

Need a printer like the WASP 4070
Hi. I own a Max2 and I`m very satisfied, the printing quality works for me, and it was affordable. The printspace/volume is fine and in many cases enough. But here is my problem I want and I have to print bigger, much bigger. Making research brought me to this printer . Delta WASP 4070 http://www ...

Re: Dual Snailhorn Part I
A horn amplifies sound just like the horn on brass instruments, an old record player, or a megaphone. When you use a horn driver, you've got a very lightweight transducer that's efficient, less prone to distortion, etc but they're very small so it's critical to amplify the sound from them just ...

That's awesome! What drivers are you using? What method did you use to calculate and design the horns? Hi Its a Atlas sound driver, the one the police used to install on their cars. Dual Snailhorn Part I
Hi
Dual Snailhorn, one part of a much bigger horn.
This part is created with 12 printed segements. Sandwich hull filled with sand to absorb resonance and vibrations.
This part weights completely 25kg. PLA only 10kg, printtime ca.600h. Stay tuned

Re: Bonding PLA parts together ?
I believe you can use MEK to bond PLA in the same way you can use Acetone to bond ABS. That's some nasty stuff (like acetone). Handle with care. Okay here my experiences. Dichlormethan or Methanchloride Works perfect. I solubilize the PLA as much as it becomes liquid as honey, put this on the parts ...
