Joining two spools to continue printing
Hello all, I was wondering if any know of a way to join the end of one spool to the beginning of another spool of filament. I don't have a failed print or filament reclaimer yet(please let me know where I may purchase a working reliable reclaimer) and i really don't like having a bunch of spools of ...

well considering I am a cad guy I will throw my 2 cents into the ring for parts creation. first, don't use autocad its just too much of a pain in the rear for 3d parts creation. personally I prefer rhinoceros 3d it can do normal shapes and more organic shapes without worry. plus you can do renderin...

Thanks again Eaglesoar, I've ordered the E3D v6. I'm going to print the mounts however I'm guessing I should use ABS rather than PLA... correct? I found the .stl files on both Thingiverse and Repables /r/296. There are many files on Thingiverse but not sure which ones to use for my Max v2. So do i u...

I'm making a setup using 3 LEDS fed by the PEEK fan leads of which i used a connector for easy disconnects etc... The other 3 LEDS are being connected to the Layer fan. I'm using ultra bright LEDS of white and blue than i got when I started playing with programming the Arduino kits. The resistors ar...

Welcome to the forum! We also welcome you to the owners of the Rostock Max group! Re: E3D Release New Version 6 of HotEnd.
Got the v6 on Monday, the MAX has been running ever since. So far so good. The ABS prints are looking sharp. I have not attempted PLA just yet. I would like to get my ABS prints out of the way just in case. Is the E3D v6 a direct replacement on the Rostock Max v2? Are then any modifications that ha...

Re: Item won't drop flat in Repetier
I'm still using an older release of Cura and at the time (if I'm not mistaken) it never did connect with the rambo. Newer versions may be different, but I haven't moved up in the releases. For sketching, I only use designspark at the moment. Other than making the letters manually, there is no text ...

Printable radius
What is the maximum setting for the radius under the printer shape tab in Repetier for the Rostock Max V2? Following the manual, it is set for 135mm. However, that does not allow me to drop an 8" piece on the bed without overhang. Obviously when I increase that setting to say 160 then the model...

Re: Item won't drop flat in Repetier
I just found in DesignSpark that if i create a surface that has an angle and join that using the UpTo command, the item will drop in repetier at the angled position. If I painstakingly align manually and join the object it lays flat in repeater as it should. I even dropped the stl in Cura with the s...

Item won't drop flat in Repetier
I'm using DesignSpark for my STL file creations.
Occasionally if I load a project, repetier won't place it flat on the table in the program and slices that error.
I created a octagonal 8 sided object and when dropped in repetier it rests on one edge.
Any ideas?

Tonkabot,
You're awesome!
Thank you for the pictures and instructions.
I spoke with John of SeeMeCNC a few minutes ago and he set me straight.
I guess being up at 2:00AM as old as I am makes things look different.
Lol, I was looking for a round hole.
I'm loving this assembly way too much.
