Re: Duet FSR's Stuck at Min Stop

Well blow me down, dc42! That was it! I am in your debt, sir.

(I think crimp connector is an oxymoron.)

Re: Duet FSR's Stuck at Min Stop

Disconnecting the FSR's (one at a time or all at once) doesn't affect the behavior. On G32, the head moves to each of the probing points and stops about 5mm above the bed; it then immediately moves to the next probing point because it thinks the probe is triggered. When the routine completes, the he...

Duet FSR's Stuck at Min Stop

My Max V2 with Duet and FSR's is out of commission because the FSR probe is stuck at min stop. Probing is unsuccessful and generates an error message: "Z probe already triggered at start of probing move." Tapping the bed above each FSR lights the corresponding LED on the FSR board. Lifting...

Thermistor ADC H&L Values on Duet

I am trying to tweak in the LCD temperature readouts on my Rostock V2/Duet and have hit a wall. No changes I make to thermistor H and L values seem to have any effect. I have tried entering M304 and M305 commands from the G-code console in the Duet web interface, tried editing M304 and M305 lines in...

Re: BONDTECH EXTRUDER

I just bought Bondtech's Rostock mount. For the price (US$15) I couldn't justify the hassle of making one. If you want, though, you do have the option of downloading the STL for the mount. All you have to buy is the threaded inserts.

Re: Cannot Connect Through DWC

Restarting and flushing the cache didn't help, sorry to say. I can ping the printer, so I know the wi-fi connection is working. Clicking on the "Home All" button causes the head to move, even though there is supposedly no connection, which seems odd. Late Breaking News: Running the DWC in ...

Cannot Connect Through DWC

After installing the v1.09y-ch firmware, the new DWC, and IAP, I am no longer able to connect to the Duet through the DWC. When I click on "Connect" the error message that comes up instantly is "Could not establish a connection to the Duet firmware! Please check your settings and try ...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

This issue is impart from a delay requirement on the program side. The first height measurement is checked assuming that the height is somewhere around the probing height(base is 10mm). So if the z height is initially off, then the program may send commands to quickly, causing this skipping to occu...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie

We seem to be in danger of getting lost in the weeds here. I was able to do a successful basic calibration in v2.03, but have had no joy with any version since then, whether basic, AI or HAI. I can make good prints after a manual calibration, so I would be surprised if there are serious mechanical i...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

I am concerned about XY bed jiggle if you have the pucks sized to freely move in Z to trigger FSR's correctly. Yes, indeed. Building a three-point floating support system that has no perceptible slop yet doesn't bind is quite a trick. If you get it right on the first try, you must be living right. ...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

For me, M112 sent from MatterControl executes perfectly, sent from Repetier it requires multiple resends before it executes. I also had to uninstall Repetier Server; it was playing merry hell with the COM port.

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

Rollie-- I was just running the basic calibration, using the default accuracy setting (.001, I think). I didn't think to save my height map; when I have some time, I'll re-run it. I only had to enter M112 G-code once, but Repetier had to do a couple of resends before the requested info came back. I ...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

Success! XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode is the key for me. With the FSR logic inverted in firmware, the FSR's trigger with the lightest of touches. The calibration ran for 17 iterations and converged to .02-.03mm all around. I was able to print this test pattern in ABS on a bare plate with no ...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

The printer DID slow down as it approached the build plate, so I think it's reading the correct Z-height. I inverted the FSR logic in firmware. Now if I could just get the calibration to run again. I've tried a number of compatibility settings, and the exe has administrator rights, but it still hang...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

Rollie-- Since you suspected that Windows 7 might be the culprit in my calibration hanging, I tried running in XP compatibility mode. Good news-- the calibration started normally. Bad news-- the nozzle didn't want to stop when it contacted the build plate, even though the FSR triggered. Confusing ne...

Re: Delta Automatic Calibration Tool - For Repetier Firmware

OK, got my FSR's installed and downloaded v2.03 of the calibration tool. When I try to run, though, I'm getting the same hanging after "Request to read EEPROM sent" that others have seen. I'm running Win7 64-bit and Repetier v1.5.5. The calibration exe has full read/write privileges. Any s...

Any Thoughts on Hotend Lead Length?

I'm getting ready to wire a new hotend, and I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on a good lead length. In the past, I've had a problem with short leads breaking from repeated flexing. I'd be interested in hearing what has worked for others. Thanks.

Glue Stick Juice Stopped Working

I thought I had found the magic solution (no pun intended) to bed adhesion when I started using the Elmer's Purple glue stick dissolved in water. I dissolved a full stick in about 8 oz. of water to form a kind of loose gel and painted it onto the cold bed with a foam brush. It took several applicati...

New to the party, but reading this thread with great interest. Here's an idea rattling around in my head; let me throw it out here and see if it makes sense. How about a mic-6 plate bead blasted to create a matte surface then coated with a PEI/solvent solution and dried. The film could be spin-cast ...
