Re: Curves and walls not bonding
Having similar issues. I've been adjusting the settings with different slicer programs. I'm printing with PLA and when extruder gets too hot, the material doesn't have a chance to bond with existing walls of the object before the print platform moves on. This causes the still drying material to be l...

Re: SeeMeEducate Curriculum Activity 1 - SeeMe Dog Tag
I'm going through the Reptier-Host firmware setup and I wanted to make sure that I'm using the correct dimensions for the Orion Delta 3D Printer: z-length Diagonal Rod Length Horizontal radius when centered Max horizontal radius Angle of column A/B/C Radius error column A/B/C Diagonal rod error colu...

SeeMeEducate Curriculum Activity 1 - SeeMe Dog Tag
I've been able to get my Orion printer to successfully print from the included SD card. I've successfully printed the preloaded "Vase" and "Blinkey" files several times. I downloaded the latest version of Repetier-Host for Mac and loaded the SeeMeDogTag.stl included with the curr...

I've had the spaghetti issue as well, advice I've gotten from others on here is that.... your issue appears to be hotend jam, rather than extruder jam... the reason for the current change was putting over-current in the kysan motors causes them to get hot and can make pla soften by the extruder.. ha...

Re: EZStruder is always jamming with PLA
I did a little digging through other threads on here and I found a conversation discussing the containment of excess heat (ie heat creep). The peek fan MUST be on at 100% all the time. You can wrap the heater block with silicone tape to insulate it, that helps a lot. Your resistors could be burning ...

Re: EZStruder is always jamming with PLA
does the sticker on the motor say wantai or kysan? Guanu I've been having the same exact issues, but my motor is a wantai. ok, kysan now that makes sense.... load up your firmware, go to line 701 of configuration.h change: #define MOTOR_CURRENT {175,175,175,200,0} // Values 0-255 (RAMBO 135 = ~0.75...

Re: Getting Orion and Repetier-Host for Mac to Talk
I've fidgeted with the baud rate to no avail. I've downloaded the Reptier-Host firmware v0.91 in addition to Arduino IDE 1.0.5 I feel like I'm falling down a rabbit hole with this and may be heading in the wrong direction. I've been culling message boards and haven't many that have had this issue. S...

Getting Orion and Repetier-Host for Mac to Talk
I have my brand new Orion printer hooked up and successfully printing files from the included SD card (yay!) I have also installed the latest version of Repetier-Host for Mac. I downloaded an .STL file from Thingyverse and successfully loaded it into Repetier-Host. I was able to use the slicer funct...
