Re: CAD model of H1

Bump in the hope that some one responds to one of my posts, Pm's and emails. I know you have no obligation to do what I have asked - but I have to admit I am fairly disappointed in this situation. In my PM I did say to you 'tell me to jog on if you are too busy' (or something along those lines) - a ...

Re: RTV getting on print, causing failures

I had a similar thing on my H1. I attributed it to oils and continually re-heated materials from the filament or something leeching out of the Peek. Obviously I am not 100% on that 'science' but I can say with moderate certainty that it isn't from the RTV as it leeched from areas not covered by the ...

Re: Rostock serious business problems.

Fair play - this thread is somewhat redundant if the OP is not even reading it. Good call.

But I do think that for those new builders, without the considerable printer experience that you have, might be reassured by members contextualising such an inflammatory thread title.

Re: Rostock serious business problems.

Ok, here is my two penneth as I feel this thread has some pretty bad feeling running through it. I had a few teething issues with my H1 - a couple of missing bits, not totally complete instructions etc, but I can say that the process has given me greater understanding of the process of 3d printing a...

Re: Medieval Broad Head - 0.05mm Layer

Slic3r to slice, the nozzle is the seemecnc 0.28mm and it is PLA. I did have some interesting issues with the first and second prints - for example, I am printing it with 5 or 6 perimeters to be able to handle the super shallow angle of the broadhead and I have upped the top and bottom solid layers ...

Medieval Broad Head - 0.05mm Layer

I read somewhere once that you wouldn't see much benefit from going below 0.1mm.. . . . . . I disagree!

Re: PLA Help , lost

The first thing I think you should do is buy a thermocouple multimeter - I got mine of ebay and it was really cheap. Even if it is not that accurate it will still give you guidance to what temp your hot end is. If you are stabbing in the dark with the hot end temperature there will never be any way ...

No problem mate, I know how busy you guys are! It is brilliant how rapidly you have brought the rostock to market - I can appreciate the work that must be going into your enterprise.

You guys had any thoughts about making a DLP resin machine?

CAD model of H1

Hi All, I have tried contacting the seemecnc team about the possibility of getting hold of a model of the H1 machine in a Solidworks friendly format (STEP, IGES, etc) so that I can make some modifications. I thought I would ask the community the same thing as I have not heard from the team (no doubt...

G0 and G1 dwell. . .

Hi all, you may or may not have seen my posts about some initial issues I was having with my printer where I was getting a slight dwell between certain lines of Gcode and therefore an excess of PLA at these points where the nozzle continued to extrude. I noticed that my machine hesitated between a R...

Re: PLA extrudes while dwelling. . .

yeah, I did a similar thing in Mach 3 GCode editor. It opens it up in notepad where you can do the same thing.

I just printed a keyring of pacman I knocked up. Well chuffed.

Re: PLA extrudes while dwelling. . .

can i get slicer to put a retract in after every line of g-code? EDIT: It appears that there is a small dwell when Mach 3 goes between lines of G1 and G0. .. . . EDIT: I think I have cracked it, I opened the g-code in Mach3 and changed all the G0 to G1. It took a while but now the print is going wel...

Re: PLA extrudes while dwelling. . .

The PC is a Pentium 4, 3.00GHz with 504Mb RAM. Xp Pro SP3. No M03 codes i'm afraid. Do you think my machine is lacking muscle? Would a bit more ram help? It literally does the skirts and when it moves to the first corner of the cube it hesitates, goes round the 4 sides and when it gets back to start...

Re: PLA extrudes while dwelling. . .

I had a look and the belts are tight.

There is a definite pause at the start each perimeter and in fact some of the infil lines too.

Confusing. . . . maybe a mach3 setting?

PLA extrudes while dwelling. . .

Hi All, Got the machine going, and I am getting used to printing now. One thing I seem unable to over come is that when on my calibration cube the extruder goes to its start corner and dwells for a split second. In that time a bit of PLA extrudes out making the start point corner consistently bigger...

Howdy from Cornwall, UK

Hi all, I'm Chris, I got my H1 a week or two ago and have been loving the build up so far! I am a designer/engineer that does alot of freelance work along side my design day job. I have built up a 3d scanner using David laser scanner and thought that a 3d printer would complete my toolkit! I hope th...
