Re: Beta Tester Thread
I would have the time to put it together. But I don't have a printer to print the m5 nut anti backlash. So if you want to test it out on a average dummy to see how quickly they can do it.. I would be a great candidate. One thing though if you sell the kit. I would recommend providing all the parts ...

Re: Nozzle Mod
If you where to remove the black piece that the 3 arms are attached to completely and replace it with something you where to make. Would the machine still move/function normally. Say the piece that is made, is just like the black piece, but it has a reservoir for a material to be poured in, drips ...

Nozzle Mod
I haven't picked up an Orion just yet (price hasn't updated yet). But I was wondering, when I get one. I was thinking about printing out my own nozzle mod where the filament comes out. But creating an open one to pour a material through as the nozzle is moving back and forth.. Will the machine still ...

Re: 3d print in water?
I really like that idea too! it could work well with a chavant style clay.. cause once that is warm, it holds its temp for a long period of time. There is other clays that might work even better then that.. I like the idea of either material, even if there is some dripping. It would still be useable ...

Re: 3d print in water?
Good thinking, I didn't even think of the tip being cooled haha.. hmm maybe if the piece that was holding the wax stayed warm and had something pressing from the top to push it out would work.. Or before a print started, if the base was raised slightly above the water and it put down some wax, then ...

3d print in water?
curious as to why one hasn't come up yet. Not sure how easy this would be or if it would work. But couldn't you have an extruder that can submerge in water as it prints? The stuff it would be printing is wax or a chavant based clay of sorts. So imagine the extruder having a 6-7 inch reservoir for ...

Re: Hello
Thanks for the welcome ;) I was going to pick up the Rostock max about a month ago.. but feel I am to much of a handicap when it comes to small parts and not knowing what to do. I like that machine a lot though as well as the Orion. I was going to pick up the makerbot mini, but happy I done some ...

Price coming down or did it go up?
I got an email from seemecnc and it showed the models and prices of the printers.
The orion is listed at $1199 but on the site its $1374.00
Just wondering if it is coming down and the site hasn't been updated yet or it went up.
Thanks for any info.

Hello
Hello everyone, new here.. Not much into the forums these days. But I figured I would join after I seen the drip machine. I been in the market of getting a 3d printer for the past 2 months now. I came to the site again cause I was about to purchase one of the printers from here (orion). But then ...

Re: Codename: DropLit
I want one! the model looks great. Where these already offered and did sell out? I seen on the main website it shows it. If not and there will be beta testers, I'd love to be one. I have a ton of 3d models I made I could test with.
