Re: BETA testers discussion

I finally got some free times and the projector ordered. It should be here soon. In the mean time I'll be printing the legs for it, attempting to find a dish and Makerjuice from somewhere that will ship to Canada, and getting this firmware to stop being a PITA.

How is everyone else's coming along?

Re: BETA testers discussion

Anyone know the timeline for receiving our missing parts? I need a few of them to even complete the build, so I am basically at a stand still at the moment. :(

Re: BETA testers discussion

5. As has been noted before, the holes for mounting the arduino are wrong. To save time, I used some special double-sided mounting tape with some very strong adhesion.? The holes on mine lined up perfectly. Chances are you used the wrong holes. The Arduino does not site close to the side panel, lik...

Re: BETA testers discussion

Started cleaning out the PSU last night while I wait for the rest of the parts to come: Should be able to wire this baby up here real quick as I got most done last night. No issue with fitting any of the remaining parts. All is well for now. Does anyone hav...

Re: BETA testers discussion

CORRECTION: after getting to the gantry build, it struck me that the rollers use the front and back slot of the extrusion and not the side ones... thus the wires have to go down the center hole... now where is my 22 gauge magnet wire??? Myself and Brent used floss. I tied one end of mine to the thr...

Re: BETA testers discussion

you should have a metal 10-32 bolt in there... thats used to thread the wood for the plastic thumb screw... it doesnt bolt on, threading the wood allows you to loosen and adjust mirror height from the front of the machine Nope. Or at least, none that are left over. Guess I'll add that to the "...

Re: BETA testers discussion

Ok, so sat down and started putting this thing together. Hit the follow snags: 1. Mis-placement of tab of left side of projector mounting melamine. 2. Hole in mirror mount is not of sufficient diameter for the plastic 10-32 thumb screw. - EDIT: Apparently the plastic screw is just supposed to thread...

Re: BETA testers discussion

I'm not assuming because I got two tracking numbers, that I should get two packages. UPS's own shipping label says 1 of 2. I took a quick look through last night, and have no idea what would be missing though. The UPS guy said he only had the one box and no record of the second. Might just be a glit...

Re: BETA testers discussion

Had to pay a $43 brokerage fee to get one of the two packages today. Other package is still MIA. [CENSORED BY MODS] UPS, worst shipping company ever. So I got half my kit I guess..... Edit: Did these even ship in two separate boxes? It is beginning to look like UPS labeled this box 1/2 for no real r...

Re: BETA testers discussion

Here are some 'test' images I made. I have no idea how well these will work for calibration, they will probably fail, but I tried making some anyway. https://imgur.com/a/q4a4e" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Not a bad idea. One thing you will want to incorporate into your c...

Re: BETA testers discussion

I saw somewhere the rough specs the projectors needs. Anyone happen to know what they are? Or what page that was on?

Just ordered my kit! Hopefully it doesn't take long to make it to the land of maple syrup and igloos.
