I am about to do the Duet and the Panel Due... I have a Teensy and will be getting a Trinket to do the 12c switching, which one is better... Apparently the Teensy allows you to change the accelerator settings so I may have to go with that?

Changing Filament? My method for changing the filament colour is to snip the existing colour off just above the extruder entry and pre-heat the hot end to approx 200 degrees and then manually feed the filament until the extruder runs out. Using a spanner of the correct size undo the bowden fitting ...

Looks like it must have the pcb mounted with a extension cable or maybe it is off-center... there must be a cover that goes on the front of it?

I have not done the mods to get the Duet installed (waiting for a trinket)... make sure you have used the correct wiring per the github..

He used a trinket 3.3 the teensy was with trash80....

So far I have the board configured and talking to my Mac and my ipad so that is good... Now studying the upgrade process... I don't have the PCB for the HE280 mod yet so I'll get it all ready and wait for it to arrive before going further. Thanks Michael for all of your efforts...

It's probably semi-gloss... The same finish as the build surface.

@crocky, is GekoTek textured? It has a coating on the build plate which does not be disturbed when you are printing to it, when the print is finished you just wait until it has cooled then you simply pull her of the build plate and if it is hard you can't remove the build plate off the magnetic ...
