CuraEngine in Repetier Host
Is there any difference in using the CuraEngine slicer that's already one of the slicers in Repetier Host rather than the standalone Cura software? Can you actually set up the standalone Cura to work with a Rostock Max V2 or is it only used to make the G code?

Yes. But I slice it again every time. And I have printed it successfully before with the same part file.BenTheRighteous wrote:same model every time?

Print shifting consistently
For every print lately I have had consistent shifts about an hour in. I have tried many different options but still have shifts. I tried tightening the belts and making sure the carriages were correctly tightened. After that didnt work, I thought the Rambo board was too hot and I have a desk fan ...

Extruder motor too loud
After having installed motor dampeners for all three axis, I now know that the extruder motor is causing the loudest noises in my printer. And If it torque the motor to the side little the noise level drops considerably since the motor is making as much contact to the wood. Has anyone thought of a ...

Re: How to get better air flow to RAMBo
Heatsinks can only be as cool as the air around them, so I designed some vented side panels to promote air exchange. http://repables.com/r/495/ I've also been working on some ducts to ...

Re: How to get better air flow to RAMBo
Where would be a good place to connect extra fans to? If I connect them to the same place the existing fan for the back of the Rambo board would it just give less power to each fan thats connected there?

How to get better air flow to RAMBo
Ive recently getting consistent print shifting for longer prints. I tightened the belts and adjusted the carriages and still have the shifts. I think the culprit now is that the RAMBo board is getting too hot so it shuts down a little to save itself. And after touching the board and noticing that it ...

Better way to tighten belts?
I think I need to tighten the belts on my machine and was wondering if there is a better method that people have come up with rather than the one in the manual. Its hard and awkward to do by myself and most times I feel as if I didnt even tighten it more. Also what should the belt feel like when it ...

I ended up using the method in the assembly guide where I guess and check with the screws on the carriage. I check the specific number of the radius right now but I know it was around 130.

Cant get bed level
I have leveled my bed multiple times using various techniques but I still can get the whole bed level and I'm getting very frustrated. I dont know why the bed isn't level. At the base of each tower and at the center of the print bed the resistance feels the same with a piece of paper but when i go ...

Help with prints
My Rostock Max has recently not be printing very well lately. The sides are not smooth and I dont know how to fix it. Here's a picture. http://i.imgur.com/5HEItQ7.jpg I don't think this is due to belt tension because I recently tightened them. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Tricklaser Insulators
I just installed my Trick Laser dampers last night. I have not printed without them as this is my initial build. They seem to be pretty good though. I did adjust the belt drive gear to compensate for the extra space between the frame and the motor. I did not use the full width of an uninstalled ...

Tricklaser Insulators

I installed the Trick Laser arms on day 1 (never even fit the stock arms to the machine) and I have never had any problems with my machine/prints as a result. I have since purchased and installed other Trick Laser products and have been nothing but satisfied. You can build your own arms (there are ...

Calibrating X,Y,Z axis.
I'm trying to calibrated the axis on my v2 so my prints come out the right dimensions but having trouble on it so far. When printing the 5mm stepping cube i get around 5.3-5.5mm. How do i calibrated the steps per mm on a delta and where do I plug in the number? Is it in the eeprom in repetier host ...

I'm about to buy a E3D v6 for my Rostock Max v2 but curious as to what mounts people are using and which ones work well. Whats your cooling system for prints?
I'm curious to how other people have their setup for layer cooling. I havent had any success with a good setup for bridges and steep angles. I bought these fans (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LB0M8S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and used this file on thingiverse (http://www ...

e-motor jerking
On my v2, the extruder motor keeps randomly jerky backwards really fast. I havent noticed any problems with my prints because of this but the sound is very annoying as it does happen pretty often. I was told before that this happens because there is too much pressure in the extruder when its trying ...
