Re: Set z height without LCD controller
Yeah, I was playing around with the z height but wasn't sure if it was the same value that the controller modifies or if there are any side effects.
Now that I know, though, will try it for real. Thank you Jimustanguitar!

Set z height without LCD controller
Hi guys, I was wondering if it was possible to set the z height without the LCD controller. My controller is broken and G0 will not go below 0 so I figured I have to modify the values in the eeprom. Which value(s) should I modify? Is it OK to change the z height? What about the z probe? Many thanks!

Thermistor shorted on hot end, RAMBo board fried?
Hi guys, So I haven't had much luck recently.. Was replacing my spoiled thermistor, soldered the legs to AWG22 and did the whole JST pins thing (quick disconnect setup). In my haste to get it up and running I left the soldered portion unshielded while trying to place the thermistor (with RTV) in pla...

Bad nozzle temperatures (-10 deg c)
Hi, I recently replaced my thermistor after accidentally dislodging it. It worked fine (temp roughly the same as bed), PID autotune also worked too (changed the values slightly). After autotune, the temps started showing def for both nozzle and bed, and after restarting the printer a few times the t...

Re: NEW Guy not able to get past calibration setting
Have you solved the sd card issue?
I had the same problem. got the sd card init error. It was caused by plugging the LCD header (B) the wrong way. Once i inserted it correctly everything worked.

Hotend - do i need to redo my resistors?
Hi guys, so I'm about to install my hotend onto the printer but i have this nagging feeling that the RTV was not applied properly. Should i remove the resistors and reapply (with new resistors) ? The sillicone seems to be holding them really tightly [img]https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7mUWjb3gwK...

Re: Do i need a new Cheapskate Inside Plate?
Thanks Brian and Jim!
I'm still a bit unsure, what is the right way to install the t-nut. Should the prongs be bent when the screw is fully installed or should the prongs be straight?

Do i need a new Cheapskate Inside Plate?
So i wasn't careful when screwing in the belt clamp holders and this is what my inside plate looks like now (the prongs on the t-nuts got bent and dug into the melamine - i was using a battery operated screwdriver) [img]https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-IOWjVEYct4s/VCA2dpMnLTI/AAAAAAAAJqY/I-CqZR8pk...
