Is the Peak Fan Neccesary

I just finished my rostock max v2 printed the peak fan shroud. I am happy to say the print came out great (thanks to everyone in the forums who helped me along during the build process). I managed to lose the small fan for the peek section. Am I able to still print in abs while I wait for the replac...

Looking for part of extruder for Rostock Max V2

Hi, I'm looking for a way to just get the part of the extruder in between the nozzle and the insulator. I'm looking to see if I can find an someone's extra I could buy or a 3rd party one that is compatible. I don't want to have to buy a whole new extruder kit. If anyone has an extra one, I could pay...

Re: Dead Rambo?

Thanks for the response, that's what I thought it was. When replacing a fuse, do you just pull it out with pliers, or do you have to desolder anything?

Dead Rambo?

I am in the process of setting up my Rostock Max V2. I had put the firmware on the Rambo and was just trying to make sure everything was in order. I touched the hot end with a set of pliers, and suddenly everything turned off. I tried turning it back on, but nothing came on the lcd and the led didn'...

Melted HotEnd

I am in the calibration stage of building my Rostock Max V2. I was having trouble with one of the cheapskates so I detached the 2 arms that go from the cheapskates to the hotend. So during the time of troubleshooting, the hotend was hanging at an angle. When I would turn my printer on the hotend wou...

Smoking hot end.

I was in the process of installing the firmware; when I realized a burning smell. I look over and my hot end was steaming, and it smelled like it was burning. Is this normal? Or should I be worried? Thanks for all the help in advance.

Re: Solder under the battery.

Thanks for the suggestions. I managed to get a de-soldering gun and get it off. It took a while, but I managed to get it all removed. Thanks for the help.

Solder under the battery.

I'm just finishing up my Rostock Max V2. On the Rambo, there is a battery by where the solder pads for the fans are. When I was soldering the fans on the solder pads; I spilled some solder and it got under the battery. Is this going to be an issue/ destroy my Rambo? If it is an issue; Is there anyth...

I can't get a screw through a washer.

I know this sounds like I'm a complete idiot (while that may be true); I'm really getting stumped by this. I am building a Rostock Max V2, and on page 46 of the manual it says, "In order to install them, you'll need to add a #6-32 washer to two of the #6-32, 1-3/4” Stainless Steel flat head scr...

Where can I get more crimp on spade lugs.

I stripped the black and green wire you use for the on/of switch. I then put them in the crimp on spade lugs, but I messed up the crimp. Does anyone know if the kit includes more of these or were I could buy them? Thanks
