Re: Extrution build up problem

Too loose tension can also lead to skipping teeth but then you get a "leaning" print. A photo of a print might help if you can post one. Stoopid (sic) question but did you move the X carraige by hand (with no power to the stepper) to see if there is a "catch"? Same with the Y ta...

Re: Extrution build up problem

Hey 3DFrost, what type of a PC are you running mach on and what is your kernal speed. When does the pause happen - always at the same spot if you print the object a second time or in a different time? Does it happen in 1 direction like X only or Y only? A couple of things to check starting with the...

Extrution build up problem

Hi, so I've almost got my H1-1 almost printing well (almost) but my prints keep being messed up. For some reason in certain parts of the print the print head will just stop for a half second causing excess extrusion to build up at that point, messing up any layers that might be printed around or beh...

$18 a pound is a pretty good price, would you happen to have a link?

Re: Air in extrution?

No. it's abs After dissecting my filament under a microscope I found that michaellatif is right. I don't know why it wasn't this way before but in their is a long continuations (almost purposeful seeming) hollow center to the filament I bought. So anyone know of any good NOT MASSIVELY EXPENSIVE fila...

Re: Air in extrution?

Ya, I've tried to flush out the air several times and it didn't seem to have much effect. I think however it might be the teflon tube which I damaged somewhat when trying to remove it when cleaning the extruder and is now somehow gulping air. It could of course be the fulfillment as you said, but th...

Air in extrution?

OK, so I've been trouble shooting my H-1.1 for over a month, still haven't gotten but a very rudimentary print, and even that was just today. Currently my problem is with my extruded filament, it expands to 1mm after coming out of my .5mm nozzle due to air in the extruded filament. In addition very ...

Motor turning calibration

Anyone know of any good links for calibrating the H1-1? I went to that one link that shows what the devs use for their turning settings however when I use those my prints come out about x10 normal size. To fix this problem do I just reduce the motor turning to 1/10th of the current settings? Also my...

Re: General MACH 3 Help

I forgot to ask,
Will the method in which the optos are jumped be the same as what is shown by the tutorial here
despite the difference in pin out?

General MACH 3 Help

I don't really have any specific questions so I'll just go right into it. After I first got my TB6500 board and configured the mach settings accordingly, nothing happened. If something did happen it would be one of the axises locking up but in general no control over the motors. After some research ...

Re: H-1.1 input

Just finished my H-1.1 a few days ago, seemed pretty straightforward if you keep in mind the idea of same thing with few parts. The one tip I thought of (not sure if others have also found this) is that depth of the black feet of the printer is almost exactly the same as the distance needed for the ...

Ah, ok that would make sense given the lower power consumption.

Alternative Driver board?

I was looking around at the various means of controlling my 3D printer when I came across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-set-x-5-axis-KCAM4-MACH3-EMC2-CNC-Breakout-board-interface-board-/251137309510?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a78f33b46 Definitely a lot cheaper than a TB6560 controlled boa...

Re: Anyone have detailed pictures?

Ya I double checked, while I did receive three brushing they were all of the wrong size. However using a drill press I was able to
widen the diameter of one of them (hopefully I won't need it) and was able to continue on.

Re: Anyone have detailed pictures?

Thanks, I think that video will help me a lot; works just like a bunch of pictures, assuming a spam the pause button  As a side question on the rear base frame sub-assembly the plastic bushing center hole is too small (1/8th inch) for the threaded rod; now I received two of these bushings, can ...

Anyone have detailed pictures?

Just got my H1-1 kit and I'm currently in the process of constructing it. There are however a few aspects of the build that I'm not too sure about/wondering if I'm missing some pieces. Because of the current lack of instructions if anyone who has finished the build could upload some images capturing...
