Just double-click on the .3mf file and Cura should open it.

Try calibrating by hand and see if that works.
Chances are the nozzle is too high above the glass for the ABS to stick properly.

Have you tried a different filament? What are you printing with? What temp? What's the bed temp set at?

You can replace the RAMBo controller with a Duet2 Wifi and the hot end with an SE300. The combination should give you perfect automatic calibration.

Re: Help me Calibrate my Rostock V2 (horizontal banding)!! :)) Happy holidays Fellow 3d enthusiasts
You don't have a calibration problem. The banding you're seeing is classic signs of filament starvation. You either have a temperature issue or a partial clog. Since the bottom of the part looks pretty good, I'm willing to bet you're printing a bit too cold for the speed you're printing at. Looking ...

What printer do you have? If it's a RAMBo-equipped Rostock MAX, check the other two fuses. If it's Duet-equipped, contact support.

if the connector shell is slightly out of spec, they can be very hard to remove and insert. There is no locking tab on that style even though the male connector on the board is designed to capture one.

I would email support about it.
If there was something wrong with the file itself, others would report an issue, which as far as I know, none have.

I'm pretty sure the s3d profiles I posted last week (ish) has dual extrusion profiles in it. Rummage through my post history - I don't recall where I posted it.

I would check to see if the power supply is ok. You should see nearly 12V (like 11.9) when both the hot end and bed are heating.

These profiles: https://github.com/seemecnc/slicing-profiles/tree/master/SE300 should work fine with Cura 4.8.
There is no such thing as an "Artemis Edition" of Cura.

No, the v3 uses an 8 bit RAMBo controller and the v3.2 uses the 32 bit Duet controller. It makes them VASTLY different machines because of that.

Re: Rostock Max V2 Extruder stepper motor
I wouldn't adjust the current - it may cause the extruder to skip. The motor will continue to draw power as it's being "held" in the current position. It may be that there's a winding going, but the heat sink may extend its life a while - or at least keep it from getting so hot as to cause material ...

Re: Rostock Max V2 Extruder stepper motor
The simplest thing you could try is sticking a heat sink on to the back of the stepper motor. You can hit Amazon and search for "stepper motor heatsink" and see a lot of options. This may be a good choice: https://www.amazon.com/Easycargo-Heatsink-Mounting-TEC1-12706-Thermoelectric/dp/B07N5M94NT

Re: z height moves up when changing directions on xy plane
Then it's a mechanical issue of some kind. If the drive gears are plastic with a metal core, check to see if one has a crack. If they're all metal, make sure the grub screws aren't loose and allowing movement. You also want to make sure that all three belts are in good shape and have an equal tensio...
