Duet Wifi
I've been doing some research on trying to resolve vertical banding and it seems the Duet controller is the go to upgrade to eliminate this. What is it about this controller that makes the difference when compared to the Rambo board?

Re: GoPro Session mount for my FPV mini quad
They all have the fish eye. However you can change the FOV thru the interface. For FPV, the fish eye provides an extra level of excitement for the viewer.geneb wrote:Very cool! Does the Session still have the stupid fish-eye that seems to be a GoPro hallmark?

GoPro Session mount for my FPV mini quad
I picked up a GoPro Session to put on my FPV mini quad. I looked thru all the normal resources, Thingiverse and alike, but I couldn't find a mount that suited my needs. I wanted something that encases the camera more then everything I was finding. Also if you fly mini quads or any kind of RC ...

Re: Any FPV Drone guys here?
I'm a wannabe drone guy. I've built a 450 with printed parts, and have the parts for a 250 sitting around waiting on motivation. Also have some goggles and video stuff. Hopefully that's in the cards this summer. Have you raced or flown before, or is this your first go at it as well? I have only ...

Re: MatterControl Estimated Time
I was in contact with the SeeMeCNC crew and they told me to check out gcode.ws
I checked a gcode file that according to MatterControl was suppose to take 20hrs, actual was 13hrs. gcode.ws estimated it at 12hrs 54min. MUCH closer

MatterControl Estimated Time
Has anyone else noticed that the estimated time in MatterControl is WAY off. I printed the T-Rex shower head the other day and MC estimated it around 20hrs. The print completed in about 13hrs. Any ideas?

Yeah just bare glass. Blue painters tape works okay, but it can be a PIA trying to get seems lined up. I only have one layer fan. I might have to get two more and see if that makes a difference.

PLA Adhesion Trick
So I stumbled onto something the other night just by trial and error. From the very beginning I knew that using the disappearing purple glue stick was the most basic way to get ABS to stick and it works pretty well. I decided to give it a try with PLA, and oh my does it ever stick. Almost too good ...

Re: Which E3D Mount?
Excellent! Thanks guys. Kinda bummed I can't use my printer until I get some more PTFE tubing, but I was able to print a calibration cube in the center of the bed and I must say, kuddos to the E3D guys, very nice extrusion and quality. I'm anxious to print some larger things. I had about 150hrs of ...

Re: Which E3D Mount?
I very much doubt it's illegal for you to sell it. 713 gets away with it just fine. All you've done is design something that goes between two standardized sets of mounting geometry. It looks like a nice solid piece of machining. Would you mind giving us a look at your shop setup sometime? I always ...

Re: Which E3D Mount?
Alright so here's what I came up with. My E3D showed up on Friday, and by Saturday afternoon I had the mount designed and fully machined ready for action. I had one little snag though, since the PTFE tubing runs down inside the E3D, and on the stock hot end it stops at the bowden fitting, I didn't ...

Re: Which E3D Mount?
Well I'm glad to hear the outstanding support for 713Maker. Mine should arrive this afternoon... Now that I started down this rabbit hole, I see the guys are releasing a new all metal hot end next month... go figure. I saw that too :( A new printer too. I saw their short clip of the new delta ...

Re: Which E3D Mount?
The 714 mount looks nice, but I have a hard time paying for something I can make my self. I'd print a mount, but my current hotend is toast. I guess that leaves one thing, do as I always seem to do, design and make my own. Thanks for all the suggestions. BTW can someone please explain to me why on ...

Which E3D Mount?
So after realizing my stock hot end is on it's way out I ordered the ever popular E3D V6 for my MaxV2. My question is, what is the best mount to use for this hot end? I know there are a couple options out there but I thought I'd get your opinions.
Thanks for the help.

Selector Knob
For some completely random reason my MaxV2 wouldn't home. I would select home on the LCD and it would drop about 2" and reset my Z0. I tried both sending it a G28 and clicking the home all button in MatterControl, same result. So I decided to wipe the RAMBo clean and re-load the firmware. After ...

Re: All Metal Extruder
Okay so a little update. I mounted the extruder to the printer for testing and everything fit great. However I highly under estimated how much pressure needs to be applied to the filament so that it doesn't slip and has enough grip to force it thru the hotend. The next iteration will need two design ...

Re: All Metal Extruder
I got it to the point of where I can actually test it out. I think a couple tweaks will be necessary, but nothing major. The filament is truly encapsulated entirely. This should help greatly with jamming of flexible filaments.
