Re: Dino Jam!

I successfully printed the dino head! I changed the motor current values to the suggested versions in the source code. The stepper does run a little cooler now. I think that this was the actual issue. I reduced my retract speed from 20mm/sec to 15mm/sec. My retraction length is 2mm (I doubt this was...

Re: Dino Jam!

My stepper is a kysan 1124090 7951. The extruder stepper is fairly hot, but the hobbed bolt isn't very warm. My motor current settings are: MOTOR_CURRENT {155,155,155,165,0} I am considering changing them to: MOTOR_CURRENT {140,140,140,130,0} The user guide suggests the 155 settings, and the comment...

Dino Jam!

I'm attempting to print the makerbot pocket t-rex skull ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:373367" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) and am having issues. I can print larger items without any issues. These particular prints keep failing in the same spot. I've tried printing o...

Re: 100k NTC Thermistor 3950

I did this today. I thought that the thermistor was a ATC Semitec 104-GT2. I HOPE I AM WRONG -- SEE BELOW. The file to edit is configuration.h You need to find the line that starts with "#define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE" and set the value to 8. (Or the actual type of the thermistor from the ta...

Re: Setting PID on Hotend Properly

Did you wrap your hot end with tape? If not, wrap it. The old instructions don't mention this. The new ones do.

Re: Hot end temp not getting to temp for ABS

I had this same issue. The version of the manual I built from didn't mention the tape. Wrapping the hot end with tape fixed things.

Thanks.

Re: [NEW! 12Feb14] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual

The manual i'm working from is:

Welcome to the Assembly Guide for the Rostock MAX v2.0 3D printer.
Version 1.67, August 27th, 2014
Repetier-Host Edition

Is there a newer version?

Re: [NEW! 12Feb14] Rostock MAX Assembly Manual

Some corrections for the next manual: Typo on Page 34: nut to fit, try inserting it from the other side of the part. The laser kerf results in a slight cut angle that makes one side of a cut area a tiny bit wider than the other. This will help get the nuts inserted. If they're too lose , you can use...
