Re: HE280 Upgrade and Extruder Stepper Stops Workig
Make sure the you've got a high enough temperature on the hot end to extrude. 92.2 won't run the extruders if the hot end is less than 150 degrees. Oh yeah. I feel dumb. You are correct though. Once I had things heated up it started working. At least I learned a lot about configuring the firmware i...

HE280 Upgrade and Extruder Stepper Stops Workig
Hi All, I just upgraded my HE280 hoted and got it calibrating fine. Also upgraded to Repetier 92.2 and I think I have the configuration.h setup correctly for my setup. But when I connect to MatterControl and try to get the extruder motor to run, it does nothing. The stepper is not engaged at all. I ...

Hey Beginners...10 Reasons to go low rez.
Hi All I have had my Rostock V2 Black running for a few weeks now. According to the counter on my machine I have done 55 hrs of printing and used 277M of filament. So I am still a bit of a noob but I think I have some suggestions to others who are just starting out. When I purchased my Rostock I inc...

Re: Something is quite wrong
This is exactly what my extruder head looked like after I slammed it into the bed during tower height calibration. I got a new one and all is well.

Welcome!
I was in your shoes a few months ago and I dont regret the purchase one bit....just follow the manual and all will be fine. It really walks you through all the steps. The forum here is fantastic.

Re: Nozzle Damage
I did the EXACT same thing during my setup. The nozzle broke in such a way that it broke the tip off leaving a larger hole. I purchased a new tip.

Re: Z resonance test print what do I check?
I know it might take some time but I think you should watch the print and observe as it makes these deviations. Perhaps the fan shroud is catching on the model or the Bowden tube and cables are catching on something at greater z heights. I had a similar shift when my print curled up above the extrud...

Re: New Rostock V2 Build in Minneapolis
Thanks...I have been learning how to optimize PLA through the .7 tip. I have it working very well at 40mm/s and .3 - .4mm layers. I know that is "easy" for most folks but I can really see what is going on and have learned a lot that way. You can really see the difference between a layer th...

Done!
Just a little lifting on one corner and a few strange bits and blobs. But much cleaner than I anticipated!
I think after a little work with a deburring tool it will be excellent!

Re: New Rostock V2 Build in Minneapolis
Continued... I organized the wires with ties and attached the Rambo board. All that went fine without surprises. aayumbrains.jpg It took a few more days before I had the time, but I finally turned the bugger on! No smoke. Then I started the bed calibration process. Tuning the hot end was a little st...

Re: New Rostock V2 Build in Minneapolis
An update is due here! I have a functioning machine! But I need to fill in some details first. Lots of progress. aabase.jpg Here is a picture of the base after I had that done. The painted edges look good I think. aaarms.jpg Stringing the towers went easier than I had feared. Much time passes. I fid...

Re: Hello from Minnesota!
Great! I saw the thread a few weeks ago and noticed a lot of like minded folks in the area. It would be great to see what you are doing sometime. I have been a builder for years including a professional prototyper so motion control and electronics were part of my profession for a long while. Now it ...

Hello from Minnesota!
Hey All! I just took delivery of a Rostock Max V2 this past week and I have started my build. I have been lurking here for a month or so and caught the last thread about some of the other Minnesotans here. Turns out I live only a few miles from Jram so we met the other day and traded some ideas and ...
