Re: FABLAM !!

We just use it on glass. You'll get different results sticking it to different materials. I like the idea of popping off, but we don't have problems with ours sticking. What filament, SeeMeCNC's, others? We always print with our stuff. In 2011, when we started selling printers, I grabbed a piece of...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

Finally connected the Duet and PanelDue to the new build of mine. Following the instruction in this thread made it quite simple. Thank you Mhackney for such a great write up. Few questions linger. When I Home the axis either through PanelDue home button or through G28 command it moves VERY slowly. I...

Re: jamming and puff balls

Also it looks like your z-height is too close to the bed. If possible measure the first layer with calipers to tune up your first layer. With regards to puff balls you should try drying the filament in the oven to get rid of the moisture.

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL

Sounds good. the Duet is on site, the PanelDue is enroute, I'll post here when it is on site.

The PanelDue is a bit limited, it is probably best to place your order now if you're interested if you wish to get one from the first batch.

Just placed an order for PanelDue. Thanks.

Re: Powering Raspberry Pi 2 with existing modular Power supp

The PSU has a constant +5VSB, if you combine this with a common black you will get constant power on, even when you turn the printer off. Just splice it into a mini USB cable.

Thats how I have it on my printer.

Re: A little confused about the Duet.

Michael,

The hotted fan, is there a way to program in the config file for it to turn on when the hot end reaches 50 degrees and turn off when it cools down?

Thanks

A little confused about the Duet.

Maybe its just late at night, but I am confused about how to use the Duet. If possible for one of the Duet users to chime in on some of the issues I am having. 1) is there an PID autotune command in the duet firmware, and if yes does it save the changes after it is done, or I have to manually enter ...

Would you be interested to share your STL files for the frame? And what length of 2550 extrusion did you use to get the scale.

Re: web based Delta printer least-squares calibration calcul

It looks like you can pick Smoothieware as a choice on as the first option. So theoretically you can use the web based solution on the azteeg X5. Its just a manual input calibration.

Re: Impressions: Duet vs. Smoothie

The "draw" for Duet and RepRapFirmware are 2 fold: 1) the delta kinematics calculate EVERY point of movement, not line segments. This is my #1, #2 and #3 reason for trying Duet. RRF is the only firmware that does this. I would love to see a comparison in print quality between smoothieboar...

Re: Impressions: Duet vs. Smoothie

IMO Smoothieboard is the best and easiest solution at this time. Great hardware with poorly supported software totally negates the benefits from hardware. Smoothieboard offers less stellar hardware then Duet with a much better software integration and support. Its a win for me until the Smothieboard...

I'd love to see some pictures of the improved print quality, particularly some macro shots if you can manage it. :) Sure, You can see one model that I printed in the MetalMax sub forum. I printed that model .2 layer height at 80mm/s. I took the picture with hard lighting so that you can see the lay...

Re: BerryBod Carriages, effector and direct geared extruder.

You've got the stepper, gearbox, and extruder directly coupled to the effector platform, eh? Are there any 'inertia artifacts' from throwing around that much weight? Are the magnets sufficiently strong to keep that from coming apart during rapid movements? No inertia artifacts. Magnets never dislod...
