B3 Innovations out of business?

I placed a small order with B3 Innovations (maker of the Pico) about 30 days ago, and the order still hasn't arrived. I checked their website, and it's totally down now, along with no activity on Twitter and Facebook accounts. The last order I placed was slow to ship about a year ago. Has anyone hea...

Re: Anyone used the repetier.com firmware configuration tool?

The tool works well. I've been running 1.0.3 for a week, and 1.0.2 for a year or more. What helps is a working configuration to start with (upload). I'll post mine here, but be warned that you should look at MOTOR_CURRENT_PERCENT - This is different than the previous versions that used 0-255 to set ...

Re: Tired of unsuccessfully calibrating this thing - please

I've struggled with tuning my machine just as you have. I don't feel in hindsight that it was a waste of time, because I now understand how the geometry of the delta affects the print of the first layers. "And I had it at 130.25 just earlier. But after having tried to fix the calibration, I end...

Re: how do I wire extruder motor?

I wasn't 100% sure what brand my motors were. I bought it in February 2015, so I assumed that they were Kysan. I spoke with Gene at MRRF this year and he seemed to think that some motors might have come from the manufacturer miswired. Based on the strange behavior (chatter), I figured it wasn't some...

Some new features (which I don't have working yet), bug fixes (most important), that hacker desire to be bleeding edge, and bragging rights!

Re: Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

Just completed an 11 hour print of the T-Rex lower jaw, and a 24 hour print of the skull. I think that's sufficient to show that 0.92.2 is stable on the V2. Good stuff. I'm uploading my Configuration.h file to help anyone that might be interested. Please note that the tool does not set all of the va...

Re: What does "Low memory available" mean?

If this is showing up at the log window in the Arduino SDK when you are compiling the firmware, you can ignore it. It's just a warning message for programmers telling you that your code is using up nearly all the memory.

Re: Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

There's some new code that adjusts Heater PWM Speed. I set it to 61Hz, 64 values (HEATER_PWM_SPEED 2) and it seems to have resolved the issue. My guess is the default 15Hz, 256 values makes a very narrow pulse train, and the impulse of switching at that speed was triggering a protection circuit in t...

Re: Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

I tested to see if it was the WDT that was resetting the board. An M281 will test this. It seems that the WDT works fine. I recompiled the code without the WDT and the issue persists. It was then suggested that the PWM drive values may be an issue, so I set the MAX and INTEGRAL values all to 255. Th...

Re: Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

Also, to try out the theory that the supply might be bad, I just tested heating up the extruder only, and although it took longer for the board to shut off, it still did. I can't see how a 40W cartridge heater could be too much for this supply.

Re: Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

I'm running an EVGA 650W supply that I've put 4 days of printing on on version 0.91. If I switch back to that version of code, everything works fine, which suggests it's not the power supply. Every one of the symptoms that you describe is what I see, though. Additionally, the power cuts out, after t...

Trouble with Repetier 0.92.2 on V2 unexpected power off

So I posted this over on the firmware forum at Repetier software, but still haven't found the underlying issue. I'm a hacker by nature, so I always like to try the latest code. I am well aware that I can restore my V2 to 0.91 and just walk away from this issue, but I like to debug and pioneer. That ...

Re: how do I wire extruder motor?

I had to wire them into the connector exactly like the order on the other connectors. The manual is wrong. I just did this a week ago. If the extruder shakes back and forth, you wired it incorrectly. The order I used was red, green, white, black, which would make the picture on the build guide (Figu...

Ok, so I think I have my machine dialed in pretty well, but I have a few issues that after a few weeks of reading I'm not able to pinpoint which settings I need to tweak to get things as perfect as I'd like. First, here's the 20x20x10mm calibration cube. Bottom layer (note first layer is bulging a b...

Re: Editing configuration.h without clearing eeprom?

Are you saying that you've figured it out, or are you still having issues? I'm hoping that you meant that you didn't realize that when you make a change to source code, that you need to recompile a binary image, and then upload that to the RAMBO. You can prove this to yourself, by setting the name o...

Re: Editing configuration.h without clearing eeprom?

I don't believe that the motor currents are stored in EEPROM. If you change the values in Configuration.h and recompile and upload the program you should be fine.

PEEK fan and extruder temperature issue.

I'm printing with PETG at 235C, and my first prints are coming out really nice. I printed the PEEK fan shroud, installed it, and re-calibrated the PID values. I then printed a test cube. After that, I tried to print another shroud for the layer fan. The PEEK fan is really spinning fast, and now the ...

I'm back in business. I just finished testing the extruder after changing the wiring from pins 1-4 to red, green, black, white. Looking at the other connectors, it appears that the correct order should be red, green, white, black, which would make the picture on the build guide (Figure 16-25 on page 189) wrong.

Re: Building, problem with extruder chattering

Ok, swapped in the X stepper for the extruder E0 port. It works. When I move the extruder stepper to the X stepper connector, it still chatters. So, I've localized the issue to the wiring to the stepper, or the stepper itself. The stepper doesn't seem to turn smoothly like the other steppers do. I'm...
