Those Mechaduino's look really cool. Definitely an easy solution for closed loop motor control.

Re: Enclosure build to print ABS and Nylon bigger and faster
Sigh. Effector platform is smacking into the wall and skipping the steppers during the MatterControl 7 point calibration. I've been designing my own enclosure, and I was worried about this happening... Thinking about working on a more compact effector, or at least one that doesn't have fans protrud...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi
Just wanted to give another thanks to 626Pilot. I recent cracked my glass plate, luckily the PEI wasn't damaged, so I used another 3m sheet and stuck it one of Brians Trick Laser Heat spreaders. It's not the flattest base to stick to, but with your Smoothie calibration, it prints great across the be...

Re: RMLynch's Rostock MAX v2 - Spool Support Arm - Mod RL 2x
Got the Cones and Support Arm Mount printed. I adjusted my retract to 2.5mm and the cones came out very well, seam is very smooth. The bearings fit great in the cones. My M8 rod I bought actually slides easily in the Support Arm piece so I will need to glue it, but I may reprint because it looks lik...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi
OK, I just pushed an update. Changes: Merged with upstream changes done over the summer (better PID tuning, etc.) Added probe_ignore_bed_temp setting for people who don't have a (working) heated bed Probe repeatability test aborts if you have more than 5 steps of range Took out obsolete code for pe...

Re: RMLynch's Rostock MAX v2 - Spool Support Arm - Mod RL 2x
I converted over from something I made to this last night, basically the same hardware I was already using. I've never been a fan of the cone style holders but these seem to work just fine. I think it's the double bearing in each cone that aid in the alignment. My last spool holder had a tendency t...

Re: Prometheus Hot End v2 Build
Hey ccavanaugh, Thanks for a great build. I have been running this configuration for a few weeks now and I think I have it dialed in now. I've been printing ABS needing only 2.2-2.5mm retracts at 30mm/s. The Prometheus V2 has been great so far. I've added a screw-in thermistor and that makes it even...

RMLynch's Rostock MAX v2 - Spool Support Arm - Mod RL 2x 608
So if you haven't seen this Spool Holder design, take a look. Rick did an awesome job! http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1060029 http://repables.com/r/623/ So far I've only printed the knob. This is by far the smoothest finished part I've printed. It came out great. I may reprint with a higher infill...

I built one of 626Pilots Hall probes using the instructions on the thingiverse page. Has all the information you need.ClosetNerd wrote:Can you post the parts you used to build your probe please? for instance the magnet and rod length you used?

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi
For my Probe, I have been using 626Pilot Hall-O with a modified Top and Bottom that matches the 3 main mounting holes I have also "Flipped" the magnets so that they push away from each other. I feel that this keeps the rod more steady, and also makes sure that the rod doesn't get pulled up...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi
I want to start off by saying Thank You to 626Pilot for all the work that you have done for the Smoothieboard. Your firmware is the reason that I decided to purchase a smoothieboard, and possibly why I have used my printer so much since installing it (I was having the hardest time using the Rambo an...

Re: Getting the most from your ezStruder
I got to play with my new Haas a little today and whipped up a couple of these plates to adapt the gear motor to the EZStruder. I designed it to use the 8mm Tridprinting hobbed drive gear with the Kysan gear motor they have listed. The plate has to be that thick to center the hobbed section on the ...

Hi! Love the build! Where did your source the wiring protector that hangs down from your top plate into the build area... For the life of me I cant find anything like it and I want to find one. Keep up the good work! I don't think these are the exact ones, but I was just at Ace Hardware and I saw t...

Hello All, I finally decided to purchase a 3D Printer after a couple of years of interest. I am new to 3D Printing so I weighed all my options befor starting this hobby. Having access to my Dad's machine shop and other resources I know that I am capable of building one from scratch. But with life be...
