Re: Changing probe location for HE280

If your build is 100% perfectly square, I believe they would match. Also guessing that's not possible in the real world. I posted in the Mods area a firmware tweak that will let you probe any point on the bed, and use dc42's delta least squares webpage. (The firmware change doesn't break anything s...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration

Thanks for the update. Interestingly, the 12+ printers (including mine) with a leveling issue all have a thin layer near the X tower and thick near the Y-Z. The opposite of ComJak's problem. His is the only report I've seen that is opposite. That is what we saw after our initial testing. The extrud...

Nevermind, with the help mhackney we figured out that it was a carriage offset issue. Little bit of work and its printing beautifully

Re: X tower lift with HE280?

The towers are square to each other and the build surface, measured with a square and a digital angle meter. The travel is the same tower to tower when homing BUT when you start a print and it homes the print head moves to the Y tower and then back to the center it doesn't drop I'm going to clear th...

Re: X tower lift with HE280?

mhackney, first off thanks for all your posts you are a wealth of knowledge. So I did more research last night and looked at my EEPROM settings I think there is a problem. First off after doing a auto calibration with the HE280 ran the end stop macros and then did a paper test. X tower 1.2mm Y tower...

X tower lift with HE280?

I have a V2 that upgraded to the HE280. I'm getting everything dialed in and have my calibration box printing at 20.005x20.008x10.008 so I'm pretty happy with that. Now I'm printing some FSR mounts for my MaxMetal build and I'm getting X tower lift. I thought with the auto cal of the HE280 that shou...

Re: Y stepper inverted after HE280 upgrade?

Yup that was it. Invert Y axis. took me a second to get the right one, then to figure out how to calibrate the thing and right now it's printing a box.

Y stepper inverted after HE280 upgrade?

Okay I'm not a programmer so the firmware setup isn't really speaking to me. Have a Rostock Max V2 and just finished upgrading the extruder to the HE280 hoping that it will help with some calibration issues I've been having. I got the firmware uploaded its the correct version I go to home the printe...

Thank you all for your input.

My only concern with the FSR's is build plate constraint. how do I do that?

Thanks again

Hotend for new printer which one?

So question for everyone here. I'm building up a MetalMax (Finally) and I'm using a Duet controller. Would you use a E3d v6 print head and FSR's for calibration or would you use a HE280 and the accelerometer for calibration? The HE260 does simplify wiring and build plate mounting but if the E3d and ...

Yours is the original 33" columns.

Taller revised frames started shipping first of this month, June 2016

If you use a Duet controller you only need to run 4 cables to the LCD touch screen so that's a total of 11 cables. Power, Ground, SSR Control (x2) FSR Controller and LCD Controller cables....

Re: Just found an easy cable routing method

Don't do that. Cat-5 and Cat-6 wire are solid-core, which is bad for any motion application. It's likely to fail after a few months to a year. Took me awhile to figure out that one of the wires had broken inside the jacketing. Mono price stranded Cat6 http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Copper-Ethernet...

Quick question, say I want to print a single color and have the Diamond hotted in my effector is there going to be any back flow issues if I don't have the other two extruders loaded up?
