Re: Heightmapping fun... NOT!
It happens sometimes: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=11316#p101555 MHackney's theory is that if the probe points are directly across from the FSR mounts, it can make it teeter or something which causes crazy results. If you look at that thread, he describes his new mounting syst...

Re: Please help us test RRF 1.17 and DWC 1.14 release candidates
I assume if I add a G29 S1 to the end of my config.g file, it will load the bed height map file at start up? FWIW I had issues upgrading the web interface, (The firmware uploaded fine on the first try), when uploading the web interface, it appeared to upload the files, but I continued to run 1.11, ...

Re: Please help us test RRF 1.17 and DWC 1.14 release candidates
That's an interesting observation. I have my FSRs mounted half way between each tower and that point does appear to be exactly across from the FSR mounted between my x and y towers (if I'm reading that graph correctly).

I was unable to reproduce the problem. It happened the first three times I ran the grid compensation, but this time it did not. It may have just been as simple as power cycling the printer.

Re: Please help us test RRF 1.17 and DWC 1.14 release candidates
I'm on a Rostock max V2 with an FSR setup. Every point seemed to trigger and none of them missed the bed. The probe offsets are set to 0. I thought maybe I was missing a command prior to homing my system because I got another error about moving the head before homing. I'll run the test again to find...

Hi there. I finally got everything up and running, but I have an odd bug with my height map. Any clue what could be causing this huge trough?

Re: Please help us test RRF 1.17 and DWC 1.14 release candidates
Hi there. I just decided to try out the RRF 1.17rc3 after a long hiatus. After hitting the update button I lost my connection to my duet. I now think I may have to go about recommissioning the entire duet. Is it possible to reinstall everything from my SD card, or do I need to start over? I think it...

Re: Mattercontrol 13 point calibration
I'm 99% sure it applies the correction to imported gcode. I used to have the 13 point calibration and use Kisslicer. If it wasn't applying a correction to my gcode, the head would have crashed into the bed at several points.

Add me to the list of people excited for on-board WiFi. I've been pulling my hair out for the last week trying to set up my raspberry pi as a WiFi bridge for my duet. I cannot believe how tedious it is, and I can't find a single guide that actually has all the steps needed to get it working. Working...

Re: Auto Calibration Standard Deviation
The dialogue that pops up after mine runs says that it flattens it out to about .05, although I've seen it up in the 7's as well. The biggest difference that I've made was measuring the deflection of my hotend at each each probe point with a piece of paper. I can't say that it changed the amount of...

Auto Calibration Standard Deviation
I'm curious to see what everyone else gets for standard deviation after auto calibration, especially those of you who can print their entire beds. I finally got my auto cal working today. Although it is better than the 0.10-0.12 I was getting with a feeler gauge, it is only 0.08. I was hoping for so...

Jim,
Try the following:
Try the following:
From: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?416,6613883. If you print with hot end temperatures above 260C then you will need to add a M143 command in config.g, for example M143 S280 will increase the temperature limit to 280C.

Re: Duet Mount
I just installed this today, and it fits great. Thanks for the great design.
I thought I'd point out that you have to take off the bottom of the printer to remove the melamine bracket feet and install the plastic rails. At least, I couldn't see any other way to do it.

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
Please forgive me if this has been covered or should be in its own thread, but what would be the appropriate way to hook up a duet using one of the older stock power supplies? Would I just twist together all of the wires that were previously going into the terminals on the Rambo? (it appears to be s...

Thank you. I already have my push connector drilled out, but I noticed that the bowden tube tends to work up towards it every few prints. My hope is that this will stop that.

Re: The Original Air struder
Hey Nebbian. I just looked at your link to Thingiverse. It looks like you are using the exact same extruder that I am, but that you added some sort of filament guide to it. I see something black that looks to be screwed below the hobbed gear and bearing. Is that something you designed? If so, would ...

Can anyone share their infill percentages for this? I'm never sure how much I should use for a structural piece. Now that I have my printer making objects to scale, I'd really like to print this up.

Re: Rostock Max V2 noise reduction
I recently installed a flying extruder. When I was first calibrating the esteps for it, I thought it wasn't getting the signal because it was so quiet. Once I saw that filament was moving, I knew I had made the right choice in moving to a flying configuration. I never realized how much quieter it wo...

Re: Stepper Motor Current Question
Your assembly manual wouldn't say where the motors came from. You'd have to look at the motors. There is a sticker on the back that should let you know. I had overheating issues on my extruder motor until I read this thread:

Re: How-to: Dimensional Accuracy Calibration for Delta Printers
Here was my fix from another post: I think I have it fixed now. The 50mm calibration box is now off by less than .05mm in the x and y directions. I think that is well within my margin of error for trying to line up calipers on layered plastic. I changed out both the carriages and the effector platfo...

Re: Strange sizing in x and y directions
I'm working on changing out a few parts to see if it gets fixed. I have adjusted the extrusion width previously, but I think that it should not vary in the x and y directions unless it is moving at a different speed due to thinking it is moving a longer or shorter distance than it is moving. I recen...

Re: FABLAM !!
I'm definitely getting better adhesion with ABS at 60C than I ever got with 90C and glue stick or hair spray. It still doesn't appear to be quite enough to hold down larger prints. They start to peel up after a bit. I will probably try raising the temperature in 5 degree increments to see if that he...
