Re: Tried something new....I mean different

Well I've had the dual heater installed for over a week now on the hot end and have had nothing but success with the dual chinese heat cans instead of the resistors. The calibrations on the hot end have become consistent and quick to heat up and stay at the correct temp. I did pull the hot end to se...

Re: Tried something new....I mean different

I actually just had the thermofuse, I used to work on copiers and they were located on the fuser unit against overtemp, I can dig up a source but most likely the best place would be a copier parts supplier. I've printed about 16 parts for my friends Prusa I3 still working fine and prints coming out ...

Re: Tried something new....I mean different

Peek is rated at 247, but the thermofuse is for final protection of the bot not the hot end. I've found that 240 works best for me in ABS but that was with the resistors doing the heating I may be able to lower it now with the canned heaters. It seems to stick better on the plate at 240 at least for...

Tried something new....I mean different

I was tired of replacing the resistors on my stock hot end,( I run mostly ABS at 240) I had ordered some one hung low canned heaters from amazon so I decided to try one instead of the resistors. I checked the fit and they actually fit well with some heat sink grease. I put one on each side and wired...

Re: Expected ramp time for heated bed

I have mine in the garage and it requires being covered to help achieve the bed temperature. I think the max v2 would benefit alot from a contained heated environment.

Re: Using Support causes extreme over extrusion

I still use mattercontrol for certain things that don't require any support but S3D does give me a cleaner print. I use the mattercontrol to calibrate with then use the S3D to print works pretty well. I still have no idea why it was or is still doing that.

Re: Using Support causes extreme over extrusion

I have never found the actual problem but I did get simplify 3d to work correctly so I have stopped using mattercontrol, there is a noticeable difference in prints between the two.

Re: Windows 8 Unsigned Driver for RAMBo

Doesn't the windows 3d builder deal in another format than stl. Windows 10 recognizes the rostock but doesn't allow it to use it to print to. Maybe there is a way I can't find it. You'd have to take the file and convert it then send to the printer. The printers that do work have a specific driver wr...

Re: Atlas 3D Scanner

I just bought a dev kit with the intel realsense f200 and r200 3d cameras, they work well but the software isn't there yet. It does work on win 10 on the hello function and 3d systems has an app call 3dme that works. I have alot of reading before I can start righting my own apps for it.

I actually think a good PWM power supply would work better to heat the bed up and there would alot more control.

Clamwin is a pretty good for finding virus's and trojans just before you run it you have to tell it to either quarantine them or delete them or it will just let you know you have some problems!
