Re: Fake SSR Burned Up
you should also check the spec sheet, to make sure that rating listed is with or without a heatsink. some state that in order to use the full current a heatsink is required. otherwise usable current that the relay can handle drops dramatically.. 10amps even 7 amps..at most with out a heatsink.. fute...

Re: Who would be interested in tig welded magnetic ball join
Flateric is correct, what im welding together is the threaded rod or screw to the steel ball not the magnet. Teoman all I'm offering is the critical part of the magnetic arm mod. The rest can be 3d printed and rods source on your own. I might have different options for different ball sizes and threa...

Is there a drawing of the Onyx plate available? I'm looking for something that I can give to a shop to fabricate a aluminium plate for a heat spreader and would like to have the bolt hole drilled as part of the build. here one I drew up a while ago.. should still be useful.. same one i used to make...

Re: Rostock Max FlexiDrive Extruder [worklog]
hmmm... not sure that will work for the rostock max... are you planning on buying 3 of these to mount to your 3 aluminum extrusions..... I dont see a benefit of having that on there... rostock max already has a bowden extruder.. the drive mechanism is similiar to what the rostock has already for axi...

Re: Onyx Temp Limit
I got an additional power supply but I'm not sure I'm going to wire it correctly, does anyone have a wiring diagram? having an additional power supply isn't going to do much unless its an 18- 24v supply. Just adding another 12v supply (assuming your adding another 12v supply) will net you nothing b...

Re: alternate print bed
Hi All I though I would just share what could be an alternative to the glass print bed. I was having alot of trouble with the glass not being flat when heated, so had a thought about what I could use that would stay reasonably flat when heated. Well I just happen to have some 8mm thick mild steel p...

Re: Print PLA on paper...
If you've read my build thread, I've been struggling with PLA sticking TOO well to blue tape! I recently had to buy a new roll and even though it is the same 3M brand, it seems to stick much more tenaciously to the print. I've tried every trick I know and found on the web. I end up breaking and war...

new extruder..
Finally got around to picking up my new extruder from the post office. Looks a lot bigger in the photos than in person. It uses a nema 11 kysan stepper motor with a planetary gearbox. Quality and machine work look excellent.. although I'm not sure I like the design of set screws as an adjustment poi...
