Re: Rostock Max V2 For Sale

That's a better deal than I had when I bought mine 2nd hand, and it has a lot more nice options. It is worth a lot more than what you are asking.
Sure someone must have interest!

Re: Bed Heat

I am going to try bang bang next to eliminate any PID parameter issues. Better go for dead-time for the bed. In my experimentation bang-bang keeps circling around the set temp with an undershoot and an overshoot of 3 to 4 degrees C. That means that the difference between the highest and lowest set ...

Re: V3 resets during prints at random times

Maybe your PSU hickups (or even your mains...). Try to monitor the power served by the PSU, if that dips around the time of a reset, that's probably it. I had the same issue, but it wasn't resetting, it was shutting down completely. I RMA'd the PSU and the second one I got works just fine. I do not ...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

Or change them for Molex KK connectors like I did, if you have good enough desoldering equipment. Hmm, I think it is more my skills that lack... Equipment can be bought ;-) If I go for the header pins, the existing latching connectors that go on the Rambo will fit (without latching of course), won'...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

Yes, we were talking about a Duet 0.6 which I got for a nice price. Of course I never considered the connectors beforehand, and I read in your blog about desoldering the screwterminals, but I am most likely not a solderguru like you ;-) so I wil have to think up some adaptercabling. Wouldn't these f...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

Can you please make a suggestion to the used connectors? I am having difficulty finding the right type of molex, that I can solder or crimp to a cable instead of mounting on a pcb... Thanks!

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

It seems to me that all the screwterminal positions also have a position on the IDE style pins. They are labelled identically. But I think I read a warning somewhere to not do this, because of possible problems delivering enough power for the motors. I think "pigtails" is the way to go ind...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress

I received a duet 0.6 board last week through T3dP3d. Now it has those green screw terminals for the stepper and thermister cabling. What is the smartest way to connect everything, without just cutting off the connectors of the existing cabling? I like to keep the possibility to connect the rambo ag...

Re: New firmware dev release with grid bed compensation

How does this work, will the firmware probe the bed in an array of for e.g. 10mm steps, and calculate a heightmap?
Thanks to Mike's heads up I have ordered the older .6 board, so I still have a lot of catching up to do ;-)

Re: Im getting pretty excited

I destroyed the mosfet on the f0 part fan, because of the berdair..... works on a rambo but not on a duet.... voltage spikes due to the brushed motor and no scrubber diode... I'm sorry, we never expected people to connect brushed motors to the fan outputs or we would have included a flyback diode. ...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetier

Lik Doug68 said in the other thread, this does not look like bed tilt. It looks like first layer adhesion problems in combination with a filament that shrinks a lot when cooling, like ABS. The larger your object, the more frantically it shrinks and pulls up previous layers. Solutions: ABS juice or b...

Re: Delta Radius VS Printable Radius?

Which machine do you have? Do you have stock arms? Why do you think the value is off? If you set your nozzle to Z1 you see a gap between the bed and the nozzle. Jog the nozzle around in the X and Y plane and play close attention if the gap gets bigger or smaller to the edges of the bed. If the gap i...

To add to confusion: I have a V2 with 600Watt Delta Electronics PSU 25A (that finally works great!). Added a permanent 12cm fan to the base (V3 has that by design?) And SSR and 12V stepdown for the Rambo. On 230V Mains Barely 6 Watts idle, not heating anything About 550 Watts idle, preheating the be...

You could adjust

#define MIN_DEFECT_TEMPERATURE 18

to a little bit lower value in the firmware. The trick with the hands won't be needed anymore afterwards.

Re: Delta Radius VS Printable Radius?

The two have no interaction. Imagine a marble hanging on a thread. If you swing it in one direction, the projected line on the surface is a straight line. But if you look from aside you can see a path that can be described as a segment of a circle, with the hanging point of the thread as the middle....

You do now Gene, I never needed more than embedded graphics. But I am certainly not a gamer (at all). I want to explore some 3d design programs in the near future, but I doubt that modern CPU's fall short for that. Modern GPU's are quite capable, and energy efficient ;-)

Re: V3 Power Consumption Measurement

That depends largely on the Graphics card you use. With embedded graphics I don't think a PC eats more than about 50 Watts averaged.
But below 200 Watts is pretty decent. My laserprinter peaks 700 Watts when the fuser is heating ;-)
