NIce construction! Don't you think the max printspeed will suffer much from the extra weight?

Re: Drag knife.

in the video i linked and the video fletcher linked, you can see that no special software is required. If dragging is not an issue that right. real Vinyl cutters do have an offset parameter though, and the drag, even with the small special vinylcutterknife is really someting that you can see at edg...

Re: Firmware settings corrupted

(It could be that FTDI's latest drivers for those chips have decided to give it garbage data) I just don't think that that is the case. The serial chip would give "garbage data" through RH also. And I don't think it is garbage data, because it is very consistent. But thanks for replying a...

@Reikal: sorry for hijacking your question but...
@ enggmaug: So you have working FSR's on the standard Rambo board with just an upgrade repetier firmware? Can you confirm that OpenDact works on this combo? If so, I will order these FSR's at once!

Re: ABS Won't stick and curls on nozzle.

I had some real sticky(ness) problems when I started printing too. Nothing seemed to stick to the glass. Now for PLA I have real good adhesion with UHU or Elmer's Purple etc... smeared on some thin self-adhesive transfer tape that is used for vinyl signing purposes too. It looks just like ordinary c...

Re: Firmware settings corrupted

Hmm, I guess my problem is either unseen before, or not very interesting ;-) I have conducted further calibrations within Reptier Host, and have been printing some test with good results. Still I would like to learn if there is some way of "resetting" Mattercontrol to get rid if it's stran...

Re: Help setting up FSR on Maxv2 /Rambo

Can you tell me where you found the documentation of how to connect these FSR's? If it works like this, I am very interested. In what I thought I learned from this forum is that FSR endstops are not very known to work great on the Rambo, and you probably need a Repetier firmware that is higher in ve...

Re: Solid Metal / Possibly One Piece Delta Printer

Yeah, it got me drooling too... Besides the beauty of simplicity, would there be a reason for not having upper segments connecting the towers? I once heard there is some kind of trick to inverse the arms, to get the head above the skates instead of below. That would mean you can print objects that a...

So, it seems that no-one here is familiar with the problems I have encountered... I really want to share here! Take ...

Re: Firmware settings corrupted

Thanks Windshadow, but I guess the backwards functioning knob is the least of my problems. I just mentioned it in case it would be related to any of the other problems I encounter. Following your comment I can rule that out. The skates going up most of the time after homing instead of down gives me ...

Firmware settings corrupted

Hmm, seems like problems are stacking up instead of down... While trying to find a relative easy way to make gcode scripts in MatterControl either Repetier, I switch between those a lot today. Somewhere at looking and changing firmware settings I Repetier Host managed to screw up a lot of values. I ...

Re: Z height strange behaviour

Thanks KAS, I am aware of the Z height calibration. I just performed one, and after moving to a z of 2 the display still shows a Z of 2.96. Also if I look back the commands that come from the macro in the terminal, I see that the z value there already has been changed into 2.96. When I use the gcode...

I am trying to calibrate my V2 following this guide: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=9605" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. While having made a few short scripts in MatterControl to send the hotend to specific positions and dial in manualy, I noticed that w...

Re: Radial Layer Cooling Housing MAX2

I just stumbled upon this older thread, and am wondering if one of these designs would work in combination with an E3D hotend. It seems to have way less space below the effector, and most fan shroud designs are touching the print.

Thanks DGBK, exactly the info I was looking for! Now I know what to do this weekend! ;-) I don't see how this would be possible with a script and no dial indicator, as you'd need a dial indicator to avoid the fine tuning. If it would be possible to pause a script, you could take the time to do the d...
