Delta "grinding" past endstops

I have no clue why this is happening, but when I home my delta, it grinds a bit before topping. I've ensure the right endstops are triggering the right towers (ie. X carriage is triggering the X endstop, Y to Y, Z to Z). I've verified M119 - everything's showing as triggered. The only thing I've cha...

Cooling fan constantly on

I have an Azteeg X5 running on my delta, and just recently my cooling fan won't shut off. Normally, when I power it up the cooling fan's off with no issues, and it stays off as it should until the second layer of the print. Now it's on constantly. I haven't changed anything in the config with relati...

Printing woes...

I have a Kossel Pro running an Azteeg X5 (Didn't know if I should post here, or in smothieboard...) It was working for a while, but since I've made changes to accomodate for better leveling among other things, my prints have just gone south. My perimeters are not even. There is terrible ringing as t...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

They should be. Do you have the interface board? Because if so, it should have sensitivity adjustments (reduce sensitivity so it just eliminates false positives, but no further) You may also want rubber disks/washers or felt pads for it as well. If you have major trouble, Mhackney would be the best...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

I've managed to swap out my probe for FSRs on my Kossel Pro last night. However, I'm having some sever issues with false triggers. For example, when running a G32 with a heated bed, the FSRs might trigger at some point, even if the extruded isn't actually touching the bed. This obviously throws off ...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

After reading this , which damn near made me break out in hives, I have decided not to implement a fix for S3D's awful G-code generation. I'm not comfortable shipping such a substantial modification of the motion control sections of Smoothie for a bug that I can't even reproduce. However, if you se...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

All-in-all, the older firmware is working well for me. However, my probe location is definitely sub-optimal. it's offset from the hot-end X:22 Y:7 Z:8.34 - because I can't be 100% sure my arms (despite them being manufactured, injection moulded) are exactly the same length. I just had to shim my tow...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

Hello Everyone, I'm late to this game, but I've read through everything on this page - and I'm at a complete loss - no idea where to start asking questions. 626Pilot, I've read through everything you posted, but I just can't get my bed level. I have an Openbeam Kossel Pro, using the z-Probe that ca...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

Credo, Don't get frustrated, your not the only one...many times I wanted to introduce my printer to the shotgun lol "hate-love relationship!!" I'm back to the Sept19-15 firmware (by 626Pilot) and that's the only way I can get my printer calibrated properly, because I have the same issue w...
