Re: How to hot-swap filament on Rostock Max?
Technically yes, IF your actual reel of filament is not empty yet. But this requires a lot of dexterity. And the technique depends on which version of Rostock you have (V3.2 Duet or V1 V2 V3 non Duet). Which is more doable with the DUET. Basically you want to pause the print, clear the head and swap...

Re: Mattercontrol version 2 - can't generate supports
I would like to tell you that Simplify3D gonna released a paid V5. So You should wait for it if you go in that direction. In the meantime, look at the other free options you will be able to make your own opinion without regretting anything.

Re: Mattercontrol version 2 - can't generate supports
Hello, I can't help you with MatterControl, but in 2019 it is a slicer that is far from being ... good, to keep it simple. In my own opinion you should take a serious look to other alternative like Cura or KISSlicer, even Simplify3D (if you can afford it). You will find a lot of basic profile for th...

Hello,
Do you have the ball joint version ? Verifies that the screws that hold the barbells (white parts) have not become loose.
A picture to illustrate would be appreciated.

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate
Hello Char'les Grey,
Looks like you have something wrong in the config-override.g and to process config-override,.g at startup, you need a M501 command at the very end of config.g; or if you have a T0 command at the end of config,g then put it, right before the T0 line.

Salut, If you want a buy a new printer from SeeMeCNC I agree with Geneb about not consider the transferability of upgrades and other. For sur its depends of what upgrade you're referring to. But for me you'll end up with a lot of similar parts in doubles. So why not keep this V2 with its good upgrad...

Re: Can I get an opinion on some perimeter attachment issues?
The towers is supposed to be square IF everything is seat correctly. You need to check first on the top and bottom, on the RostockMax there is a screw head to position the aluminum extrusion there should be something similar on your Orion. 2017-11-09 15_15_36-Rostock-MAX-v2-Assembly-Guide-4thEdition...

Yes Joe, behind the Acrylic cover, at the bottom of the 3 Tower,
And looking for this assembly, the pulley on the steppers at the three tower (bottom), The shaft is the "rod" that comes from the stepper, inspect the area.

Re: Can I get an opinion on some perimeter attachment issues?
Yes true, I dont think the issue is in the tower too, but that's my routine checkup if I have a mechanical problem.
Good point about the hot end assembly specially after an upgrade.

Re: Can I get an opinion on some perimeter attachment issues?
Hi Joe, You should look after a several things, I think it's mechanical issue. Start by checking if the three tower are perpendicular to the base, adjust the tension of the belts and on the same times inspect the carriage, did you have the new injection molded? if not I know there is an adjustment o...

Re: Calibration Help
What do you mean by " speed 100" ? try retract speed 20 - 25 mm/s max and if its you print speed its too fast. My other advice would be to use a 4 mm z-lift for PLA. Indeed the filament could be a problem, but many other things come into account before that. So, try reduce the speed and pr...

Re: Calibration Help

Re: Calibration Help
Hi bwalch, Your settings look good, maybe a little too much retraction, BUT are you sure that the printer retract ? its look like for little move the printer doesn't proceed to retract. You can find this parameter in the slicer depending on which one you use it is with the parameters of retraction i...

Hi guys,
Have a similar problem, but I never found why. Sometimes When I start the printer the bed and hotend temperature that is display on the LCD screen is not constant even without the heat powered on. I need to restart it several times before seeing stable temperatures.

Re: Defective part file?
Good Morning, I would say, one parameter is not correct when you slice with MC if its work with an other slicer. Honestly, for looking at the Gcode I do not really look at it, but at the beginning of it I verify if the value for the extrusion diameter is correct, the temp, the speed... I never print...

Re: Defective part file?
Weird.. Hello, You can export the GCode and drop it here. But yes, you should try with an other slicer especially if your other parts are working. (cura, Slic3r...) Your description looks like a temperature problem, did you check in the slicer if the temp for the layer is always the same ? Your firs...

Re: A Strategy for Successful (and Great) Prints
Hi @mhackney, Im not sure to understand the step #9 «Know Your Filament», You said to extrude 50mm at 1mm/s, wich means 3600 mm/min with octoprint interface. But I can't even extrude 10 mm like this, is so fast.... I use a black ABS from Esun and Im already at 260°c. I checked with my thermocouple. ...
