Trying some small parts with ABS. Not interested in ABS juice. Anyone printing straight on the glass?

AJAX errors an issue?
This isn't an Artemis specific issue, but it would be nice to have a CAT5 type interface option on the Duet board. In a shop with Mig/Tig equipment, brute force 40/50 Amp machining centers etc. nearby, the spurious RF activity pretty much kills 'wireless'. We had issues on other equipment and finall...

Actually it looks like you didn't follow the instructions to insert the Bowden tube into the mesh on the wire whip. There doesn't appear to be a problem if it's installed correctly.

Autodesk Fusion 360 SALE
I just did a 2 year subscription to Autodesk Fusion 360 with support, etc. for $120. 80% off the $600 normal price tag. The sale ends tomorrow 11/28 for those who might be interested. I have no financial interest in this deal, but I am fond of Autodesk products, and the support is a big deal to me. ...

Anyone switch to Matter Control 1.6?
I did the update a couple of days ago, and am noticing a huge increase in print times. 1 hr 13 minutes to 2 hours 46 minutes. 176 layers became 351 layers. When I tried to revert to 1.5, I can no longer view the 2D layer screen....goes black and then.....silence and after a relaunch of MC, I don't d...

HO Scale Amish Minivan
I'm building HO scale accessories. Using Autodesk Fusion 360 as the CAD program, and Matter Control. The wheels are 12mm in diameter. The 'radioactive' sign on the back, is for those following on foot. Done on the Rostock V3. First real 3D print project.

Re: Raspberry Pi Installation Instructions
Did you look in my V3 build thread? It actually starts with the RPi and OctoPrint install and then throughout the thread additional info is posted: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=10836 No, I didnt. I used the posted build instructions as that was what was available when I put it...

Is there some supporting documentation on how to do a step by step install of this option? I'd like to be able to use the V3 as a wifi network printer.

Re: Is it possible to edit the slicing of MC?
I certainly appreciate the help and advice you guys have come up with. The 'operation' worked fine, but the patient died  The wall thickness of my design was too thick, and I need to get my head wrapped around the workflow better. I just ran the Sketchup file through Autoconverter then throug...

Re: Is it possible to edit the slicing of MC?
It'll be interesting, and a good learning opportunity. MC's layout is pretty good, but 'foreign' to me. I've been using Mach3 for years on my CNC mill. Most of my experience was with Mastercam years ago, when I was rewriting the 'posts' for CNC mills, lathes, plasma, etc. So, a little slow on the up...

Re: Is it possible to edit the slicing of MC?
Well, I'm giving it a shot. I saw where MC can export the gcode. Notepad++ does a nice job of formatting the data. I blew out the offending layer, and am running it as gcode. We'll see what it looks like in about 8-9 hours.

Re: Is it possible to edit the slicing of MC?
I thought there was possibly some temporary gcode file built before the actual printing begins. Seems like there should be someplace that the data is available...hmmm. I tried Fusion but the 'cloud' is too much of a pain with super slow internet speeds. Thanks.

Is it possible to edit the slicing of MC?
Hi all,
I'm very new to this whole process. I modeled an item in Sketchup, exported to an STL file and read it into MC. Stepping through the generated layers, I see one that is really wacky (tech term ) and I want to delete that one layer, can/how do I do it?

Re: My Tricky Thermistor and Bad Bed leveling
Thermistors are not polarized. It is a 'backward' resistor, the resistance of the device is inversely proportional to it's temperature. As it heats up, the resistance goes toward zero ohms. (It never gets there). I had a few screws a little too tight, and it moved one edge of the bed up 20-30 thousa...

The Rostock Max V3 build is complete. A few minor issues were handled promptly by the Seemecnc guys. Top drawer support! I took my time with the build, and I highly recommend anyone doing a build should go through the online build manual, and peruse the entire section before picking up the screwdriv...

Speaking of funny things...a funny thing happened at Wrinkle Village last week. An elderly woman (92) was prancing up and down a hall in the rest home shouting "Supersex, Supersex" while lifting her skirt over her head and letting it drop, and repeating it over and over. A couple of the nu...
