Re: Adding servo issue

In my machine changing the case of the g's has no effect, so the problem remains the same. it skips past all the gcode to the next M340, but still proforms the gcode after the M340 it skiped to.

Re: Adding servo issue

I did some tests and turning everything off did not change the jitter. But I have a new issue in the gcode program. The M340 commands will execute but it will skip past all the gcode and perform all the m340 commads in rapid order. So it will perform both moves so quickly that the first move hardly ...

Re: Adding servo issue

you guys are smart! thanks so very much! my servo is moving now! once i get it dialed in i will post info on my protect. The only other thing i had to do was define servo2 as pin 5 and it works great! i am getting a bit of stationary jitter but that is probably due to the cheap servo? #define FEATUR...

Re: Adding servo issue

Yeah a "true" and a "1" give the same result. it looks like this is the error its giving me. collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit status Not sure why it wont give me anything specific. i clicked on the copy error messages button but it gave me a huge amount a compilation data,...

Re: Extruder and bed wont heat up?

i changed it in the firmware to 12 degrees, but it is risky because you dont want to lower more than the amount that the printer will realize the thermister is disconected for unpluged and overheat your printer. When i unplug my thermisters it shows 7 degress so i could go to 10 but i wanted a bigge...

Re: OctoPrint Plugin!

the new plugin can replace the old probing code, but it is suggested that you run the old probing code before running the new plugin only to set the z height, for better reliability. if your z height is already good, then you really never need the old probing code. the new plugin just finds the best...

must have warped yeah, mine holds great. good idea updating that, i did not say anything early because i assumed it was so obvious it would be fixed quickly, no designer would put the ejection pin holes on a surface to be contact with other parts.

Re: A few build notes for the RostockMAX v3 Aficionado

yeah i dont know why anyone would install the bed mounts as shown in the instructions. they are clearly backwards and will offset your bed height by an unacceptable amount.

i assume that was before you flashed the firmware on the rambo board, after you flash the firmware it will error out both regardless if its only one.

Re: Extra wiring?

the two terminal end goes here on the rambo, if there is a better place to connect i would like to know it, i found this just measuring for a 5v output with my voltmeter. you see there is a - and + marked below the connect, make sure those are mached to the pi!!!

nope! they dont include that with the v3 kit, you connect the printer using the usb cable and the power using that cable and your good to go, i can take a picture when i get home if you want to see the connection points i have been using, but i am not sure if they are the best, but they work great f...

Re: HE280 max temp?

i asked about this, turns out that you can print anything up to 280, but you might have to print slower to allow the polycarbonate or nylon to melt, but you dont need it to print them, only to print them fast.

Re: can the hotend fan be temperature dependent

the only hard part was running the wire up though the wireing loom, had to use a stiff wire to push it though. other than that it is a very easy upgrade

Re: can the hotend fan be temperature dependent

ok NEVERMIND, I solved it! For some crazy reason the v2 heatbreak fan was wired under the second extruder heater?? no idea why, but i plugged that baby into the negative terminal and it works like a dream, turns on and off at 40* c. no need to update the firmware.
