Re: BerdAir comeing soon From Yellow Jacket Concepts

Here is a bracket to mount the big air pump. 2 versions, one with space for .13" thick rubber which reduces pump noise. http://repables.com/r/777/ Thanks for the link. Could I further reduce pump noise by encasing it in a housing, provide an opening for intake, and mount it next to the extrude...

Re: Bed leveling and calibration. Very frustrated.

Scarring can be avoided using a 4mm z-hop or lift in your slicer setting. I use MC, Cura, or Kisslicer but havent paid for simplify3d so not sure where that setting is. I am curious if you tried running the delta cal wizard? I would suggest g29 three times, delta cal wizard, then g29 and print somet...

Re: Upgrade time!

I've owned the v3 since Jan and this is my first experience with 3D printing and slicing, 3 months later I upgraded to Bondtech QR, E3D v6, CF arms, FSR and custom mount with heat spreader, and Berd Air v2. Spent 10+ hours a day troubleshooting and learning. If anyone rushed to upgrade I definitely ...

Re: BerdAir comeing soon From Yellow Jacket Concepts

I just installed the v2 kit + eSwitch kit with my E3D V6 hotend and it works wonderfully with the Duet board. Getting rid of the three fans makes it much lighter and I can use the fan sliders in the web interface. Still not used to the initial startup but like any motor it needs it, 100% on is crazy...

Re: Changing the Hot End?

All things considered, I would recomend you buy a new effector+ball joint set with the hotend, and either a compatible socket or another accel board, so you can swap them out, as the E3D and the like have slightly more issues with PLA than the HE280 from my understanding (It's a small difference). ...

Re: Changing the Hot End?

The whole hotend and mount would be changed out, you would have to disassemble the old mount and desolder the accelerometer from the stock hotend. Then solder the heater cartridge and thermistor leads from the volcano into the accelerometer board and assemble into a new mount. There are volcano moun...

Re: Can someone tell me how to correct this print

300mm carbon fiber arms may not be 300mm exactly unless that was written on the sticker they attached on the bag. Measure your center to center points on your CF arms and update your rod length. My arms were 300.44. +2 on the Extrusion width needs to match nozzle size and multiplier set to 1. It als...

Auto Cal results weird

So I was printing a paneldue enclosure and playing a computer game at the same time and something tripped my surge protector causing power loss to printer and computer. I reset the power strip and recal the printer but now I am getting weird probing points as shown in the pic. Anyone seen this issue...

Re: Bed leveling and calibration. Very frustrated.

I had extrusion width set to 100% last time I used Matter Control using MatterSlice engine. Honestly you are very close to having it calibrated and these results look great, grab some digital calipers and do a first layer test. Check if the thickness printed matches close your setting. The thickness...

Re: z height

I used to do g29 three times before I start a print for the day. In mattercontrol, you can set the slicing engine to Cura and set the zheight offset in there. It was hit or miss everyday so I ended up upgrading to FSR probes and now my cals are within .2 deviation everytime.

Re: Rostock Max v3 upgrading to e3d v6 hot end?

I just upgraded to the e3d v6 and I love it. The silicone boot keeps the block and print clean. I printed http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2098268 before I disassembled. Then trimmed and soldered so it looks a lot cleaner than stock. It was a bit confusing on how to update but this guide made it eas...

Re: Bed leveling and calibration. Very frustrated.

Use three alternating bed clips, having 6 can cause more warping of the bed. Also make sure it is not too tight so watch when you secure it, make sure it doesn't push the bed down too much. I would do g29 three times, then the Delta Calibration. After you save the EEPROM settings I do another g29. D...

from what I have researched, few users switched and had great success swapping from stock HE280. Not saying that you can't have good results with HE280. I'm just binge buying upgrades so I can get up to that level

Re: Onyx warping

I have the rev 8 on my V3 and I did notice after making my FSR mount and doing a couple prints, my glass is not sitting flat on the onyx. I have the glass secured using cam bolt "thing" but not too tight to warp the glass. Flipping the glass bed from PEI side to the bare glass side and the...

Re: So many strings

I have a E3d V6 on the way. There's still a tiny bit of stringing on stock hot end using Hatchbox filament at 195C - 20 to 40mm/s and 210C - 60mm/s and 5mm prime/suck - 25/50mm/s. Using PETG is at 240/245C - 50C same settings, similar results.

Re: Duet AutoBed Compensation issue

Thanks for that, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy about the extra wires. As far as fans, I found that another user had the same issue and it was the orange wire should be on the negative or left side of the two pin connector. I emailed mhackney to verify. I swapped sides and fans work...

Random followup to my last post. I had to up the m558 F to F2000 to get probing working reliably. But the main purpose for this post was that I had been unable to get my layer fans to turn on since I did the duet conversion. Finally got a chance to sit down to trouble shoot it this morning and disc...

Re: Print shifting to the side - belt tension?

Post pics of what you see, it can be belt tension, structure is mechanically loose, calibration not tweaked in EEPROM, try to focus on one object and see if you can fine tune to make that work, then add on to it.

I might have just squeegeed a bit too hard and/or put too much water, I've done tint/car wrap/phone screen protectors, but this PEI adhesive was a pain in the arse. Did you apply it to the Glass or PEI first?

I already have a glass+PEI sheet as my primary surface, but there are microbubbles. I was just thinking to lessen the variation during cal and whatnot, has anyone tried applying it wet? The first time I did it I failed miserably so the second time I just applied it dry and squeegeed it as best I can...
