Re: DLP/SLA
Yep, and you'll probably want a raspberry pi as the host controller/video output for the DLP projector.

True! I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and go with a line of hot glue...it shouldn't be too hard to pry off later on.

Quick Clip connector
Hey all, I added a yellowjacket quickclip to my very modded RMax V1 a little while ago, in an effort to simplify my hotend wiring. If works well, but now the wire harness keeps coming loose, killing prints midway through. The wire harness feels like it clicks in securely, but I guess it isn't tight ...

So looking at the side-by-side comparison, the one feature I wish the Maestro had is wifi...any chance of a variant or easy way to add it on?

Re: Duet 2 Maestro
Absolutely. All the standard Duet features, but limited to 5 drivers, and a tiny bit slower, that sounds perfect for a high quality low budget build.

It could also be the driver overheating, make sure there's good airflow over the board?

I'll third the "start with the guide", it really is comprehensively written. And then if you run into specific issues, we'll be able to lend you a hand from there

Re: SIMPLE CONNECTOR FOR HOTEND WIRING COMING SOON
So I'm finally getting the time to install my quickclip connector, and I have a couple questions. I'm working with a much upgraded RMax V1, so I obviously don't have a premade wire harness...all of my hotend power, thermistor, hotend fan, and layer fans, all have their own pairs of wires running dow...

Re: Strange extruder problem
What's your retraction speed set at? If you're too aggressive with it, you can end up grinding away a section of filament during a print with tons of retraction, like the octopus.

Re: Maker Geek's Raptor PLA
I just picked up a roll of Boots Industries' PLA, which is apparently made with the same 3D850 resin that MG Raptor is made with. Boots is out of stock of most of their color, so I just went with white, but it's SUPER cheap; $15 with free shipping for a .75KG roll, which works out to $20/KG. Haven't...

Re: The Vicious .2mm Nozzle
Nylon is a little springy, and with the fierce backpressure you'd get from a .2mm nozzle, you may simply have found a case where the bowden tube is allowing too much backlash. You might have better luck going super slow, or shortening the filament path in order to reduce that springiness as a factor...

Re: More layer shifting
I just upgraded to the new ball-cup arms, around 6 months ago. They are fantastic. ^_^ Turns out the issue was in fact that the printed piece I was using to mount the hotend to the effector had developed a teeny bit of play, and with the replacement the layer shifting seems to have cleared up. I jus...

Re: New with a pile of parts
If the arms are bent, then replacing them is your primary issue. I'd probably just upgrade to the new carriage/ball arms/effector set if it were me.

Re: More layer shifting
The shifts do seem to happen in the same direction, so I did think it was related to one of the towers in specific, but despite checking and rechecking the set screws on the pulleys, still no improvement. But! Then I wiggled the hotend to try to see if there was any play in the mount, and since then...
