Re: Funny solution for bowden tube flopping to the side
My tube leans to one side... Uh so ya, I cut a length of steal wire from the insulation of the wire that came with the kit. Tied one end to a cheep skate and the other near the center of the tube. Most of the time it has slack but it keeps the tube from leaning to far and snagging a screw. I did use...

Re: cracking
This is my experience. 230 had cracking like yours, only less severe. Printing at 225 got rid of the cracks but the bonding between layers was far to week. 235 had the bonding i was looking for but had cracking like yours. My guess is your layers are cooling and contracting, lifting up on the lower ...

Re: So I updated Skeinforge to SFACT
So I changed my steps and im printing as well as ever with slic3r. I'm still am not able to alter the flow rate in SFACT. I could calibrate my steps to SFACT but it has several adjustments regarding flow and i'd like to be able to use them. I'v spent time searching the web for an answer. There is li...

Re: EMP killed my build
Yes, I do believe you guys in regards to the printer. The speakers (older Logitech 5.1 system) may be a different story though. Cell phones also cause them crackle and his. Ether way, i don't give a shit about the speakers. I'll be switching the jumper the next time I have the enclosure off. Thank y...

Re: EMP killed my build
Both radio frequency waves and infrared light waves are EM (electro magnetism). And it's not the Koreans, it's those sneaky Dutch.

Re: EMP killed my build
I checked it out and ya, it seem "EMP" is reserved for large pulses. I was using the term in the literal form. Our routers do use pulses of EM to communicate. Our TV remotes as well. Frequency and magnitudes of power don't change that.

Re: EMP killed my build
I'm getting the felling that everyones idea of EMP is different from mine. EMP, what given off every time you turn something on or off. What is given off by the wires of our steppers. What your wifi router uses to communicate. At some point I'll fashion a shield (cage). The tape might be simple way ...

Re: So I updated Skeinforge to SFACT
rev1.1 for the RAMBo. EEPROM steps are at 292 per/mm. I have your firmware installed. I'll increase the steps in the eeprom config till slic3er is extruding 1:1. Then I'll calibrate SFACT.
But still, i can't change the flow rate with SFACT. Any ideas?
Thanks

So I updated Skeinforge to SFACT
I was having flow issues with Skeinforge and in my search for help I found Skeinforge has become obsolete when it was updated and renamed to SFACT. I have updated to SFACT and the issue is persisting. My flow rate is off and I don't seem to be able to adjust it. I've tried adjusting every flow rate ...

Re: EMP killed my build
I'll switch the jumper. At least that will limit its dependencies to one cord. Thanks for the input. I'm going to trust you guys are right till I have a real reason think other wise. I'm not exactly an electrical engineer. lol
Thanks

Re: EMP killed my build
A voltage spike was the first thing that came to mind but the more i thought about it the less likely it seemed. My desktop, printer and heater are on the same circuit, but the RAMBo is powered off usb. The spike would have had to pass through my high end psu and then the mother board. The psu shoul...

EMP killed my build
I have a small space heater i like to keep at my feet. Every time I turn it on or off i get a good loud pop out of my desktop speakers. This is how I know it gives off a pulse every time its switched on or off. For the second time now, at the same instant i turned off my heater, my Rostock Max print...

Re: wanna guess what this might be
If you're not restricted for some reason, instead of a flat transition do it at 45 deg angle so you don't need any support material. Or am i missing something?

Re: Layer shifting
I'm have the same issue. Two hours into my build i started hearing the tip dragging over some internal perimeters. Not long after i found my layers had shifted one too two mm to the right. I suspect that the dragging had caused the stepper to miss a step or two. Is there a way to confirm this? Is it...

Re: Slicing with skeinforge causes slow movement
Thanks for the fast response. Your comment caused me to again go over all the settings. I had "limit" set to 1 somehow.
Would have responded sooner but i just got my internet services up and running again. Woot.

Slicing with skeinforge causes slow movement
If i slice an object with skeinforge and run the job, the initial movement to the build plate is incredibly slow. If i left it to its thing, instead of clicking e-stop, it probably would have taken 20 too 30 min to reach the build plate. Has anyone experienced this or know what is wrong? I'm printin...

Keep the screws loose?
When i initially started i was aborting meny prints do to adhesion issues. After several attempts I would find, even though i had calibrated my z height while at temp, my build surface had suddenly shifted downward by 0.5 mm. While i found it strange it change so dramatically after being at temp for...

I don't have enough spare cash to justafi the purchace of a 1000$ toy. It was purchaceds in order to start a company whic...
