Re: Stock MAX v1 upgrade path
Printable Radius describes the radius of the build plate. g. Thanks Geneb. I found the eeprom setting for Horizontal Radius thanks to your calibration guide. I got it dialed in last night. I'm not too sure about 91S firm ware yet. I think I'll have to post a quick video on the funny behavior when r...

Re: Stock MAX v1 upgrade path
When I say I have being this machine for a long time with a need to an update, I really meant it! It is currently running RepetierMAX0.80. I guess I had it dialed in so nice I never felt the need to update it. As the instructions state "This new arm upgrade has significantly changed the geometr...

Re: Stock MAX v1 upgrade path
I took the advice of the simple repair with carriage and arm updates. Are there any firmware updates, or software updates recommended after the repair?

Re: Stock MAX v1 upgrade path
The print bed is a good point. The 480 w power supply may not be enough to supply new hotend. The cold end is still on the side of the machine. I don't even see the parts to move it to the top on the site. That might end up being a custom relocation step. I was hoping to save time on the calibration...

Stock MAX v1 upgrade path
I've had the Rostock Max since mid 2013. Other than adding one fan to the hot end, and one onto the board it is pretty much stock. It had been running pretty good as is for years. The calibration could have been better, and the slicing could have been easier to setup. But for the most part the print...

Re: Problems with printer after "upgrading"
E3D is releasing a hot end called the "Kraken" that will support from 1 to 4 nozzles. If you want multiple nozzles in a compact package, I'd wait for that. They are going to ship starting in January. http://e3d-online.com/The-Kraken" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;...

Re: Pausing with M25, cannot resume.
So as it turns out, I must have clumsy fingers. After some testing, I have been able to pause with M25, and resume from the LCD screen. I assume the only difference is that I have been much more careful on the LCD controls. I did notice an interesting bug. The controller will run the line of g-code ...

Pausing with M25, cannot resume.
I prefer to run my prints from a SD card. The problem with that is @pause does not work, as host commands are removed when saving to the SD card. I have been attempting to use M25 to pause the print at a certain layer, and it works. But then I can't seem to get the job to resume. I would have though...

Re: mhackney's KISS settings
I see this thread has been quite for a little while, but I was wondering if there are any updated ini files that work for the win64 version of 1.1.0? And might there be any tips to integrate this into Repetier? Thank you -Kyle

Considering he was pumping a liquid and his layer height was probably about 3mm, I don't think he had much to worry about. :) g. You're crushing my hopes and dreams, Gene. But actually, I don't seem to have a problem with leveling, hieght, or radius. I seem to continue fighting the extruder to give...

Well that's not the news I hoping to hear. I wonder if the user in the youtube worked on any radius calculations in the probing routine since the bottom of a frying pan is not normally flat.

That was an interesting use of the tool changer as well as a quick probing routine. It makes me wonder how far off the EZ probe development is.

Re: Print from SD card using Polygonhell's firmware
I always use the file extension to specify what type of plastic I've sliced the object for. So instead of *.gco, I have *.PLA and *.ABS. Really handy if you like to work with multiple types of filament. Are you saying that you have setup your printer to accept .PLA and .ABS file extensions as well ...

Re: I have so many fans now!
t's good to know the air does not affect the thermistors. Not sure what exactly you mean by this. *Any* air of any temperature blowing over a thermistor will affect its temperature. It will eventually converge to that temperature, all else constant. My previous comment was stating that the air blow...

Re: I have so many fans now!
The 25mm fan is EXT0 cooler in configuration.h and by default is set to 255. It's mapped to HEAT_1 on the RAMBo, and the part cooling fan stays at FAN_0 as you said. Ok I had the 25mm wired into Fan_1 instead of Heat_1. Now it starts as expected. Is there a particular reason to use HEAT_1? To upgra...

I have so many fans now!
I must be popular, or blowing a bunch of hot air. Well hopefully I will be blowing hot air. On my Rostock Max I am installing three fans. 1 25 X 25mm pointed at the Peek tube, 1 40 X 40mm assembled in edward's duct. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1144&start=60#p18171) , 3 an ...

Wipe for a Rostock Max?
Has anyone figured out a good way to perform a wipe action with the Rostock Max? Coming from a Thing-o-matic it was pretty easy to add that If I wanted, but it does seem to be as straight forward here as the wipe action could at some point cause a crash on large builds. I normally use a skirt and ev...

I am finally past the point of sanding. YAY I used a wood file and then the 7 emery board trick from here:

A little lithium grease helps out too. On to the next part of the build.
