Re: Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
Thanks Poly, Here's the result They all Home at the same speed. But G1 Z200 F10000 causes all three to rapidly descend to about mid stroke, and X, Y = 0 Z = 200 Hitting Z: -100 has all three crawling down slow a few inches Hitting x: -10 moves x UP a notch fast Hitting y: -10 moves y DOWN a notch fa...

Re: Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
Okay guys, thanks a million! I've established communication between my Mac and the printer. SeeMe Steve had me cycle the USB plug to thoroughly clear the path. Now Repetier shows 5 commands when I boot up, but those decay to 0 and then "Idle" I'm able to send a command from Repetier to to ...

Re: Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
...and when I say toggled baud rate in the firmware, I mean I did it in synch with the serial monitor and Repetier settings, so that each experiment they matched up.
Seems to me it's a fault in the Repetier software, coming preloaded with 5 commands . . . ?

Re: Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
Okay, I'm getting closer,. my friend helped but he's stumped too. We figured out how to upload the Repetier firmware (downloaded from SeeMe) using Arduino. Before I uploaded I changed the baud rate to 115200. Hit upload on Arduino, and got a LCD display back, LEDs look good, etc. So then i opened th...

Re: Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
Thanks everyone for the help. Apologies for not getting back sooner, holidays have been crazy. The problem was definitely that I erased the firmware when I tried to Blink. So I downloaded the new Repetier firmware from the SeeMe website. I wasn't sure how to get the firmware compiled in Arduino, it'...

Still Inop After the Re-Bootload
I sent my board in to have the bootloader reinstalled, apparently some of the newer units shipped out empty. Upon receipt I reinstalled the board, and it appeared all systems were go. I had green LEDs where they're supposed to be, and Repetier 0.56 for Mac was able to connect and recognize the print...

Re: Southern Cal Delta Printer User's Group
I'm on a Mac too. After rummaging around for a few hours, I downloaded FreeCad for parts drawing, and Sculptris for freehand modeling. It'll take me a few days to get acquainted, I'll report back when I have a remark. I'm going to try the AutoSketch 123D Catch also, to capture 3D models from photos,...

Re: Southern Cal Delta Printer User's Group
BTW, what's everyone using for design software? I'm new to printing, and AutoCad and SolidWorks-familiar but not capable. I was thinking of downloading AutoSketch 123 Design. Does this work well with the Repetier I downloaded for the Rostock. BTW again, John. I just mailed off my RAMBo back to SeeMe...

Re: Southern Cal Delta Printer User's Group
Hi John,
Just saw this post. I'm in Ventura CA and can get down to LA easy enough. If there's food served I could probably make it all the way to Carlsbad
Pleased to meet you.

Re: Arduino Timeout uploading firmware
Thing is, how do I know if I blew it out. I've had a wrist band on every time I handled it, so I don't think it was static. The package was opened when it arrived, so I figured the SeeME folks did something to it prior to shipping, but I'm confident they handled it well. I get the feeling it's not b...

Re: Arduino Timeout uploading firmware
I just assembled my first Rostock Max and plugged it in. As my first steps, I downloaded Arduino to my Mac, and I'm having the same trouble trying to upload Blink. I have Mac OS 10.8.3, the Arduino chip reads Mega 2560 16 AU 1131. As far as I can tell I've picked everything in the Arduino 1.0.5 pull...

Re: Hello from Ventura CA
Hi John, thanks for the suggestion. I played around with different settings, but realized that when I eventually install the delta and extruder, there will be a few pounds of force on the skates towards the center of the printer. So, when I tried pushing in a little on the skates while moving them u...

Hello from Ventura CA
Hi folks. I'm assembling a Rostock MAx, and have just completed install of the cheapskates on the towers, in accordance with the 2nd edition manual. When I tighten the 5th roller (on the axle support) to adjust bearing tension, enough to eliminate rotation motion along the cyan arrow axis, the carri...
