Re: SE300 Pin Outs & LED Power
Apparently the SE300 has built in lights! Which is very cool! provided their response here for future reference First I would suggest building and running the machine stock as the hotend board has 3 LEDs stock for a light. I have attached a pic of the wiring diagram for the whip. I do not suggest so...

SE300 Pin Outs & LED Power
I'm working on upgrading my v3 rostock to v3.2 including the newer SE300 hotend and effector assembly. I've searched on this forum and google for "se300 pin", "se300 pinout", "se300 led" and a few other variations but could not find the information for the few via's on ...

Re: V3 to V3.2 - Stepper Motors?
two related questions, what was the degree (resolution?) on the original v3 stepper motors if not .9?
What is the benefit of the .9 degree steppers?

FOR SALE: Orion 3D Printer with HE280 Hotend Upgrade
This is one of the first Orion's and it has been upgraded several times to keep up with the improvements seen in the current Orion. It calibrates well and prints fine I just have one too many 3D printers and this one doesn't get much use anymore. I will have safely packaged in an appropriately sized...

Re: Orion Calibration Issues in Two Towers
After running the wizard and LCD Calibration I got a good print on the bare glass (no hairspray) there was still a bit of loose filament around the back but with no extra help it seemed acceptable. I hit the bare glass with some hairspray and did another print, this time it was as close to perfect a...

Re: Orion Calibration Issues in Two Towers
After running the Calibration routine from the LCD it is much better but not quite perfect.
I'll run the wizard again and calibration from lcd again and see if it fixes the last bit of leveling.

Re: Orion Calibration Issues in Two Towers
Thanks for the link I didn't know it even existed until you mentioned it. That said. I tried the suggested fixed and it made things 100x worse! Now it crashes into the back then rises slightly towards the left like it's on a tilted bed. Whatever the fix was it seems like it somehow multiplied it. Fr...

Orion Calibration Issues in Two Towers
I ran the calibration from LCD menu, it ran fine without any overly aggressive acceleration issues. The round bed leveling file printed and stuck well near the front (lcd) but the back towers the filament did not stick well to the bed. Since it is using the calibration and leveling itself I'm not su...

Re: Orion will not home
Isn't that what the LCD Menu "Set Z Height" does? I tried that a few times to no avail.joe wrote:You could reset the z height in the eeprom( it's probably showing a weird number) to approximately the right value and the go ahead and then calibrate the z height normally.

Re: Orion will not home
I'm having this issue right now and it was because I accidentally pressed on the "Set Z Height" menu item. I have tried, what I thought would correct it, but it still only goes DOWN when I press Home. I would expect it to go UP when I ask it to home until it hits each of the switches. What...

Re: How to Upload Firmware HEX to Max v3
Why go to all that effort when uploading the code via the IDE does the job? g. Do you mean from the Arduino IDE or from the LCD on the max? if from Arduino IDE (Win/Mac)? it's because the raspberry pi is installed in the top of the max 3 and to use my laptop or Arduino IDE I have to Move the Max fr...

Re: How to Upload Firmware HEX to Max v3
I got it to work, here is how I did it and I'm sure these steps could be reduced or the process done better but this is how I did it. using PuTTY I logged into the Raspberry Pi 2 that is mounted in the top of my Rostock Max v3. Verified the serial port it was using from the connection that was succe...

Re: How to Upload Firmware HEX to Max v3
Thanks but I need specific advice or commands to use. I have already googled and even read the link you are suggesting a few hours ago. It is using -c usbtiny which is not right since the octopi is connecting via ttyACM0 (yes it's usb but it is virtualized serial port I think). I can't find anything...

How to Upload Firmware HEX to Max v3
I have my Rostock Max v3 setup with a Raspberry Pi installed in the top and running OctoPi. I have tried for the last few hours to figure out how to use avrdude to upload the pre-compiled .HEX files available in the github seemecnc firmware repo but can't get it to work. I'm trying to avoid removing...

Carefully with a sharp scraper. See my V3 thread or blog about the tools I use and how I modify the SeeMeCNC scraper. Sharpen the edge as I show and then slowly and carefully scrape. It works fine, you just can't attack it like a gorilla. Cool. Thanks. I have read your posts many times but need to ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Try it using the g-code script and not through the front panel. g. I do have the g-code script and even the modified version mhackney posted to turn off the HE and that works great. But the new firmware (currently in dev) is supposed, AFAIK, to have better calibration. I've also seen PDaddy saying ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Interesting, for me the dev firmware resulted in a poorer calibration. y is too low, x and z are too high. I'm going to try and manually calibrate again... Wifi duet is calling I tried the dev branch last night on my RMax v3 and the built in calibration from LCD didn't work, tried it 5 times each t...
