Re: HE280 Hot End and Probe board on RMAX v2

Forget the wiring.... I want to know when you're going to sell that effector platform and those sexy ball cup carbon fiber end tips!!! I have a few of the aluminum platforms available now that I milled on my CNC. I expect to have a batch of (50) from my local water-jet guy in a few weeks. http://ww...

Re: HE280 Hot End and Probe board on RMAX v2

I think you could use it with other hot ends if probe pcb board was mounted at top of hot end, possibly under the bowden fitting? The hole in pcb is only 7mm diameter, so the bowden collet should just fit through. May be better to use another set of short standoffs on top of 3 holding groove mount, ...

yes, it is from the Eris.
I hear it will be standard on the RMAX v3 kits to be available in a few months.
And the hot end + probe board as a retrofit kit for older machines.

HE280 Hot End and Probe board on RMAX v2

Finally got my hands on the new hot end and probe board to test out on the MAX v2 :D Made aluminum effector platform to mount it with ball cup arms. Just downloaded newest Repetier fw and getting ready to flash it to machine. Still figuring out the wiring... IMG_20160625_150517.jpg IMG_20160625_1319...

Re: Calibrating and tuning my new Rostock Max V2

What quality issue do you have with the prints you are showing here?

PLA does not warp and split apart at layers like ABS can.

I think PET-G material is better than either.

Re: Straight Line Fail

I do not understand what you see a a slicing error?
The wider spaced lines are auto generated support created by slicer, correct?

Did you run the model thru netfabb repair before slicing?
What orientation are you printing?

The attached file has been run thru netfabb repair, give that a shot.

I have not tested this, but could a workaround be putting a G92 offset in your start code?
G92 X-140 Y-140

Then just use the Cartesian gcode generated by cura.

at least until zero center configuration is figured out.

at what point did you increase the height? My frame shipped on 2/24, is it one of the longer frames? Yours is the original 33" columns. Taller revised frames started shipping first of this month, June 2016 can I get the taller columns? I machine the frame sides and columns together as sets. So...

Meh. WIFI ;(
sad to see the wired port eliminated.
I find that WIFI is just is not as reliable or fast as wired.

why not leave Ethernet port and let people use a wifi dongle if they want wireless?

Re: Rostock MAX METAL - First Build (Updates: Ugly Boat Machine)

Highjacking this thread because of the mentioning of the heatspreader. I hear people having it machined out of a thick alu sheet, because it seems extruded alu sheets have too much of a thickness variety. Is that also going to be a problem if you put the glass on top of it? Would a standard anodize...
