Johnoly99: Some targeted q's to add to the google form below. I know I'll *probably* get bashed for suggesting people to post their social media/forum info, but it I'm suggesting that it is an optional category. Do you understand that receiving a beta unit requires that you are capable of providing ...

Re: Vat Coatings Thread

Another idea is to use Gorilla Glass. Some people have been using it as the build surface for their filament-based printers. It's a pretty good non-stick surface. Maybe a round of it can be placed at the bottom of the vat. It is VERY expensive though, but might be reusable for the price: http://www ...

Re: Vat Coatings Thread

Generic Cell Guard (Amazon) is a lot cheaper than full price product that John is currently using (I believe). I don't know how well it works yet.

Re: Vat Coatings Thread

I'm going to start this thread off by mentioning LiquiGlide (http://liquiglide.com/). Heinz has started using this coating on their more recent bottles. I'm not sure if this is applicable to DropLit, liquiglide is usually used by/for industries, but it is a great new coating.

Vat Coatings Thread

Vat coatings are the opposite of hairspray/gluestick/ABS Glue of FFF printing.

The idea is to ensure your prints do not stick to your vat, and instead stick to the build surface.

Maybe you should save it for a future 3D printing museum.
Those were great little printers in their day.
SeeMe has somewhat of a printing museum in the packing area, lots of their machines and some older ones too

Just got back from the shop. The DropLit is absolutely amazing and should be your next machine. Price is going to be relatively affordable given the enhanced print quality.

The video seems like a episode of Mythbusters. "Now that we have the small scale rostock max proof of concept working let's build the full scale." I look forward to seeing this on Friday. I don't think they intend to blow it up if it doesn't work though :) Thanks for the compliment on the video!

Re: Tri Hotend

Might be a dumb question but would 3 hotends need a better power supply than the stock v2 comes with? Yes , you would need a stronger power supply or a separate power supply (or even a relay setup). They take more power, therefore require more power. Power input depends on the hotends you are going ...
