To seal the panels to each other how about printing joiners, do it in sections maybe 6" tall or some multiple of the panel height. Would look like a bent capitol "H"?

Why not draw up a test coupon; a flat area to build the samples on then a series of parallel walls each going up in wall thickness.
Do one in multiples of nozzle diameter and the other in 1/2mm increments

When you think about it, nichrome wire wound round a ceramic spool with an internal thread that can accept nozzles and an embedded thermistor would give a fast responding compact hot section.

Goldenrod are very low power devices, 8 watts, it probably won't get the heat up high enough.
