Re: Non-print moves on Rostock v2 hybrid

It depends on the motors that are in your V2, SeeMeCNC changed motors during the RMV2 run, and the new motors run on lower current. Since you are running the new hotend, I assume you are using the latest firmware, with the lower current settings for the newer motors.

Re: Filament Snapping EZRstruder

I was surprised to find out how brittle PLA gets when it absorbs moisture. It would snap inside the bowden tube and jam. Couple hours in the oven, and all is back to normal.

Re: Orion Nozzle is not heating beyond 190* C

Using a digital multimeter, I would measure the resistance of the heater. I'm sure someone will chime in on what the resistance of two of the resistors in parallel should be.

Re: Extruder EEPROM settings not being effective

Stepper motors have great torque,,,,, when a pair of coils are energized. When you start microstepping a motor, the torque rating is going to drop off since to get fractional steps, the other set if coils are also getting energized. To add to the problem, the torque curve for a stepper motor fall ra...

One way would be checking it for continuity with a multimeter while the harness is unplugged.

Did you check the thermal fuse in the heatsink of the hotend?

I would check the hotend's thermistor for a loose connection.

Assuming you are still using the original hotend, I would check the condition of the resistors in the hotend.

Re: MatterControl 1.6 extruder controls temp 5 degrees too high

I'd stick with Repetier. Myself, I use Simplify 3d. I tried Mattercontrol when SeeMeCNC dumped Repetier and started pushing mattercontrol. It seemed like every update broke another feature, and the update to fix that broke another. Last I looked, I see that they make it convenient to order products ...

Joe gave a short reply, Gene took the trouble to explain the problem with the post. Drew has not clarified his post. Way to break it down Mac. Glad you're ...

Re: Rostock Max V1 latest and greates FW for autoleveling

I am curious. You say your glass isn't flat, but not what you are comparing it with. Well, I'm assuming that since I got my end stops adjusted and measured the 3 towers and centre of the bed withing +-20um that the points between towers should also be at the same height if the glass has a flat surf...

On my V2, I have my light ring connected to in parallel with my heat break fan. The other thing to consider with the RamBo boards, the negative 12V connection is switched to control the fans, hotend, etc.

Re: EZ Extruder over heating on ERIS causing blockage in Bowden tube

The similar problem I had was that my retractions were to long, and in my case, the filament would start zig zagging out of the extruder. I also found another time that the filament I was using was junk. It varied in diameter.

I am curious. What is your goal? If you're just playing around to see who can get closest to 50 mm,,, well have fun. But if you actually need it to be 50mm ±0.001, I think you need to find another process. :)
