Re: Rostock Max V3 Build with minor mods
I would file a ticket with SeeMe. It is nice that you solved this but a replacement would have been appropriate. Also it will be good to know for SeeMe and help establish a possible pattern. In that case next time they will order better PSU's somewhere else.

Re: Nozzle is high when printing after calibrating Z=0 at papers width...
IMBoring is correct. Setting Z=0 is totally something else than adjusting horizontal radius. I you hang a nickle on a rope and pull it to the right (increase X) you will also see it go up. That is because of the fixed radius of the rope. Your horizontal radius is to correct for that, and make horizo...

Re: Duet 0.8 tplink 702n config problems
I think Northspire is aiming at getting a router to interconnect between a wifi AP and the cabled Duet. Many more have done this but personally I have no experience with Duet 0.8. I do have experience with WiFi bridging. If it is a "normal" router, you will probably have problem. In most r...

Re: First Layer Help
Did you run the calibration with heated (but shut off) bed and hotend? The bed can raise a bit when heated, so you should calibrate at the temp you want it during print. I know SeeMe tells you to calibrate cold, but it is really better to calibrate hot. It just that the heaters must be shut off befo...

Re: Yet another Duet-to-HE280 accelerometer probe adapter
Besides the scientific curiosity you obviously have ;-), what would you expect a piezo (or any other new probe) to have that an fsr doesn't? Reading your list of "requirements" a probe should have, I believe fsr fulfills all of those? Always good to have alternatives of course but it is ha...

Yes it does! I just did not assume that building a metal Max from scratch was your first experience wit...

Re: First Layer Help
I was changing the setting in Matter Controller on the EEPROM settings screen. I found the changes I made there seemed to have no effect on the z probe height (the first layer, where that would show up). Yes, that's what I said. It does not change anything UNTIL a new calibration is run. Z-Probe-He...

Re: Yet another Duet-to-HE280 accelerometer probe adapter
Sounds like really complex. Makes me wonder why SeeMe chose this probe concept in the first place, over the much cheaper, well-functioning fsr that has been around for so long and proven to work so well. Would it have been so much more difficult to implement that in repetier? Besides, the choice for...

I was able to start my first successful company, so there's that. (link for anyone curious http://www.kilovoltcollection.com/) Nice items you make in your company! Re: Move sketch in Fusion
Thanks, I will try tomorrow. I am not at home tonight. I think if you import from SVG it automagically becomes a separate sketch, doesn't it? The difference between bodies, sketch body, elements selection groups and thins like that is still a bit vague to me. I think those really don't get enough at...

Re: First Layer Help
Today I adjusted the Z-probe height in the eeprom, and found it didn't change anything at first I made small changes, and in frustration the number kept getting bigger and bigger until I tried +/- 10 and nothing change. So I set it back to 0, and tried to adjust the Z max length instead. I was havi...

Move sketch in Fusion
There seems to be no Fusion group here, so I'm thinking this group is the closest ;-) I am trying to get some understanding of Fusion, because that seems to be what a lot of people use. Coming from an graphic design angle (CorelDraw), I find the learning curve pretty steep. Nevertheless I was able t...

Re: What Exactly Needs Changed in the Firmware for V2 Upgrades
If the Y-axis homes in the wrong direction you have two options: - change INVERT_DIR on the Y-Axis as you already found - rewire the stepper wires in the Y stepper connector to match the default firmware If you do nr. 2 you wont have to think about it again if you ever reset firmware If you do nr. 1...

Re: First few layers linearly shift
In case someone looks at this: Can the belts stretch? My machine fell over about a year ago and at one point where I had to take the RAMBo out, I reversed a motor and when I homed, it ran into the ground (instead of the top) and I'm wondering if that caused some permanent damage I can't see. I have...

Re: First few layers linearly shift
I think I figured it out. I was curious about belt tensions and tried looking up tension guidelines but couldn't find definitive rules to follow. One person said to make all the belts play the same tone, while another said to pull the belt with 6 pounds of force and get it to deflect between 1/8th ...

Could these high points be at mount points? I think thoise differ from printer to printer. I have FSRs in between the towers. I think the resting points for the V3 bed are also at the towers. The V2 style snowflake has 6 mountpoints, so maybe there is an other pattern visible? I will try to post dat...

Changing speed does nothing to flowrate. With flowrate you can adjust for under or over extrusion. Something that should better be taken care if in your material profile (accurate filament diameter) and ofcourse a calibrated extruder.

You will have to do a complete recalibration if you do that. Usually it is enough to check the values from a freshly downloaded firmware and compare them to what you have.

Re: Trick Laser MAX METAL Build
Not a bad idea. It's not as strong as the button sized neodymium magnets I was intending, but more can be easily used and I suppose you won't topple your printer when tugging on a panel. It is surprisingly sturdy, because the contactsurface is much bigger if you put the tape around the whole window...

Re: Trick Laser MAX METAL Build
I have been using something like this in some projects in the far past. I was thinking this would be an ideal mounting method for panels of a heatchamber. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnetic-Craft-Adhesive-1-5mm-adhesive/dp/B001DT262C Steel counterpart tape is also available. It would make dismantling...
