Re: EZStruder adapter for soft 1.75mm filament

That's cool. I had the bowden tube mod on there for some time and it worked great for TPU.
I do have some particularly soft filament right now and the issue is that it's soooo soft that it gets squished by the hobbed roller then wont fit through the opening of the bowden tube anyway :(

Maple syrup is a fickle beast. I've had prints that didn't hold at all, then I've had some that I was worried would never come off. That stuff is scary... Scary delicious!

Re: New E3D V6 mount?

I printed this and used it on my Lite6. - I like the design - Like the fit - it's very good - Don't like how it 'hides' the PTC fitting on the top of the e3d/lite6 - you'll need a screwdriver to remove the bowden tube. Minor annoyance. - Don't like how it blocks view of the upper portion of the hot-...

That's super impressive mate! I was expecting a replica or prop not an actual one.. Do you have video of it firing? If so I wouldn't upload it unless you'd like unwanted attention :/ He fires it at the end of the video in the op. Really? I must have had my sound down, or looked away when he did tha...

Re: Our latest vid. Extrusion Rate calibration.

Hi, sorry about the delay I was away all yesterday :/ Firstly, are you sure you need a full 8mm retraction with ABS? Seems like a lot. I'm struggling to see anything really problematic with those settings, however; - what happens if you let s3d decide the extrusion width? I know with slic3r (a year ...

Re: Our latest vid. Extrusion Rate calibration.

Yes just like your first pictures shows, small gaps between the infill lines.

It's interesting because the infill gaps look like it's under extruding, but the top layers and corners look like over extrusion. What size nozzle are you using? What slicer?
Those top layers should be smooth.

A quick vid on dialing in your extrusion rate - this is my go-to method for getting a good extrusion rate with little fuss. Works with any printer.

Enjoy!

Hey man looking good! I've printed a dual extruder mount as well, though my machines have been running so much lately I haven't had a chance to install them :( First world problem I know :)

You've probably already beat me to dual extruders, so let me know how that goes!

a 3d hand for a 4 year old

Hi Here's a hand we printed as part of the Aussie e-nable group. This young girl (avoiding her name to protect her privacy) was born without fingers and in the week since getting her hand has been super stoked and showed it off everywhere! Printed from pink and purple ABS, with added stars on the ga...

I'm thinking you've got over extrusion. Based on the ridges on the flat sections and the ripples in the walls.

I'm not sure what others have advised you, but have you checked your e-steps and done some extrusion multiplier tuning?
