Would you require a cooling fan for this type of hotend, like the stock seeme hotend would need a peek fan?

Re: New Rostock Max V2 hot end crashing into x axis tower
If it were me I would find what was causing the initial problem. Slowing The speeds down is just masking the underlying problem. Sure, it's nice that that it is working at the moment but it would drive me nuts not knowing the why. It does look like a mechanical/binding problem.

I have seen a lot of talk about the Duet but haven't seen any posted print pictures. Will I see a noticeable difference or is just about connectablity and a fancy display screen?

Re: New build in progress, which hot end?
I have only used the stock hotend. I have about 1820 hours on the original Orion hot end without a single jam and still use it daily. I don't have any printing needs over Abs and mostly use pla so haven't needed to change from this simple hotend. I did upgrade to a cartridge heater instead of the re...

Re: Case Light Pin location.
I found an easy solution - I put #define CASE_LIGHTS_PIN ORIG_FAN2_PIN in the Configuratin.h file, and simply wired my LED lights to the fan2 connector on the header. With a M355/1 or M355/0 in your start /or end script you and control your lights. There is also a new control available in the LCD me...

Re: Case Light Pin location.
I believe it's pin 13, which is also used for PWM-3, and is physically pin PB7. (this is for the Rambo) I believe that the LED_PIN in pins.h (repetier firmware), is where you would find the pin, and RAMBO development would be where you translate arduino pin numbers to physical numbers. http://repra...

Case Light Pin location. *SOLVED*
I am looking to use the case light function in the firmware (repetier 92.6). I see how to turn it on and off > M355. How would I go about physically locating the pin and finding out what pin it is in the firmware to activate / assign it. I have searched but can't find an answer. The wiki page confus...

Re: filament not extruding well at higher layers
If the fan isn't blowing on the back side of the Rambo, the stepper driver can overheat after a while and cause your extruder stepper to act all wacky. It's fooled more than a few people.ramai wrote:Holy1, I can hear it running right now. If it failed, would that cause extrusion issues?

I could buy this item? It is the power in header on the side of the RamBo. It looks like it got a little toasty.
