Re: "Ultra" Max. Questions for my new build.

That configuration will give you a fairly sweet printer. I personally would not use the atx power supply. And i would add pei to the mix. In ordert to receive a proper answer, what are your expectations from 3d printing technology? what do you expect of this printer? And what are your expectations o...

Oh, another thing, psu's have big capacitors inside them. So you should wait atleast 15 minutes AFTER unplugging them before you fisdle with it.

Re: New Power Supply / Opening the Bottom

If you are not comfortable with high voltages 110v or 220v dependin on where you live, get a buddy or post pictures here before you plug it in.

It is not difficult at all, low probability of something bad happening but if it does go wrong the consequences can be very bad.

Re: New Power Supply / Opening the Bottom

That power supply looks the business. But the newer rostocks do not use a computer type power supply. They use an industrial one where you have screw terminals to attach wires. With these power supplies you can also tune the voltage a bit (9 to 15 V or thereabouts). This will enable you to give a bi...

Re: Rambo controlled heated chamber

400w is indeed a lot of power. From what I read in this forum, the max temp inside should not exceed 50degs C. Or the other components go soft. I cannot remember what the arms were made out of but the old carriages have acetal wheels which go soft with temperature and if you have long pauses with ch...

Re: Heated bed temp with ABS and PEI?

You seem to be on the right track. The sweet spot for my pei was 115 deg C read from the guesstimator. I do have an aluminium heat spreader between bed and pei. You can upgrade the wires that will help a little bit. If you have the newer psu and it has an adjustment knob you could tune it so that it...
