Re: Enclosure temps
The problem with the lamp is that it radiates heat, i.e it heats up the places where ot shines a lot more than where it doesnt shine directly. If you add a controller then if you put its temp sensor under the light it will get hot really quickly and shut the lamp off, if not then you risk cooking im...

Re: Enclosure temps
The people who know the materials used to make our printers have come up with the number 50degs C. The wheels of the carriages do not go soft and get a flat spot etc. I have stuffed mine in to an ikea cupboard with no heating, and that did help curling a lot. Go slowly and add heating if necessary. ...

Re: What PSU can fit in the base of Rostock Max V2?
How good do you consider yourself with electrics? The computer style psu's are safer if you think you have the possiblilty to electrocute yourself. If not the 12V ones (can be tuned to 15V or so) and the 24 v ones (can be tuned to 20V) should be good. I use the stock psu inside the max v2 and an aux...

There is a sheet of lastic that you can slide on one of the sides of the towers and use fhat as a sealed conduit. Tricklaser had something like that i believe. I am on mobile so a bit difficult to pull you a link.

Re: All Aluminum High Temp Bed
If you do not use dual extrusion you could use the second thermistor slot for. But why use heating elements? Get a 110 or 220v silicone heating pad and stick it under the aluminium bit. Some even have a thermistor built in. Random example http://m.aliexpress.com/item-desc/32424688342.html This one i...

I'm sure there have been/will be other sponsors so long as he remains interesting. And all limbs intact. It is a tragedy waiting to happen in my opinion which is a shame. But probably one of the reasons people watch him. Maybe givi or sidi could sponsor him with a very cool looking motorcycle suit.

Re: Control a relay from phone to shotdown a printer
Well, with what i know now, I would get an esp8266 and attach an arduino relay to it (for the hotend power only, if not a better relay for the entire printer). Connect the esp8266 to an mqtt server (code is readily available, adafruit is ok in my opinion). Esp8266 costs 3.5 usd and the relay is also...
