Re: Updating webcontrol issue

I think your HTML and JS files may have got out of step, because using DWC 1.19 you should have been able to upgrade to 1.20 without getting that message. Sometimes it is necessary to clear the browser cache before you pick up the new versions of the DWC files. The latest DWC warns you if the versio...

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate

PS you have no M208 command in config.g so movement below where the firmware thinks Z=0 will not be allowed. As you are experimenting with negative trigger heights, you may need to allow small amounts of negative Z movement. For example, M208 S1 Z-1 would allow movement down to -1mm.

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate

I suggest you remove the G31 command from bed.g because it will override the value in config.g. Also setting the XY offset to zero hasn't been correct for many firmware versions.

Re: Updating webcontrol issue

When upgrading firmware from 1.18 or earlier to 1.19 or later on the Duet WiFi, we recommend you move the SD card to a PC, delete the old /www folder, create a new one, and unzip the new DuetWebControl.zip to it. After that you will be able to upgrade it in DWC next time.

Re: Duet WiFi with E3V6 dragging on plate

What do you have in your bed.g file?

If you vary the G31 Z parameter, you should see the live M665 H parameter change accordingly after calibration. Does it?

Re: Trick Laser MAX METAL Build

I just purchased the 5 inch for my D300VS. Ultibots told me that the 7 inch was discontinued for now. The 7" version was discontinued by Duet3D due to quality issues with the supplier of TFT panels. But we now have a new 7" version with integrated controller electronics. See https://www.d...

Are you sure that the G32 auto calibration command is succeeding? Check the GCode Console page of DWC for a success or failure message.

Either there is a bad crimp connection in the motor cable, or the stepper driver chip is faulty.

Re: Some PID Tuning Quirkiness

You shouldn't really need to run PID tuning when you change the temperature, unless you experience problems. It's better to tweak with M307 (see config-override.g for the M307 command that was saved when you ran M500): Reducing D improves responsiveness, but the temperature will oscillate if D is to...

Re: My printer has gotten an attitude.

More likely the firmware isn't smart enough to keep the motors in sync when it can't generate the steps fast enough.

Reducing the maximum travel speed may be a temporary solution until you get a faster controller.

Re: Duet Wifi Endstop issue

That type of problem usually means that you have a pair of motors or endstops swapped where they plug into the Duet. Please test the motors individually as described at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwareDeltaPrinter#Section_Testing_the_motors_individually to make sure that you ...

Re: Duet 8.5 Groundwire overheating

The reason we tell users not to tin the wires themselves is that if you do, it is absolutely guaranteed that the solder will creep and the joint will work loose. Anyone who does tin the wires themselves will need to re-tighten the screws frequently until they stop working loose.

Re: Hot End Chattering/Bouncing Against Bed, Not Much Extruded (Bad config.g?)

If the supply voltage to the TMC drivers drops below a certain voltage (somewhere around 9V AFAIR) then the drivers shut down and they need to be re-initialised when power is restored. So when the firmware detects that the voltage has fallen below a slightly higher voltage (9.5V AFAIR) we shut the d...

Re: Duet 8.5 Groundwire overheating

Looks like the screw terminal because loose. This happens when you put high current stranded core wires into a terminal block without crimping ferrules on the wires first (that's why ferrules are supplied with Duet WiFi and Duet Ethernet boards). You can usually get away with it if you re-tighten th...

Re: E3d v6 thermister settings for duet?

According to E3D the thermistor parameters are unchanged between the old and the new types.

Note that it's not just the B value that you need to set, it's important to use matching B and C values in the M305 command.

Re: Cura 3.1

The lines that extrude 0.15m also have about 3mm of X or Y movement, much more than the other lines, so more filament needs to be extruded in them. When you select RepRap flavour GCode, Cura defaults to relative extrusion, which is what RepRapFirmware prefers. So use it if you have Duet electronics....

The settings for RepRapFirmware are given in the V6 installation instructions on E3D's wiki site. Don't assume that your previous electronics/firmware combination gave accurate readings, or that the temperature difference between the nozzle and the thermistor is exactly the same as it was before you...
